Well put together, does what is required, not hammered it much yet but expecting good things. Using with a 3b+ Picked up the extra tall headers in case I wanted to add another Hat. They're a snug fit but careful and steady pressure gets it working. Getting them apart is easiest done with a Stanley Blade slowly and steadily. Fan not the quietest but is as expected and fit for purpose. I did pick up the modular case for it as I couldn't fit it in my closed official case but, again, was as expected. Using it to experiment with a Pi as a PBX. Very pleased.

POE is great - easy cabling and no need for wifi connection.

Does exactly what I needed and what you'd expect! Easy to install, fits inside the official, standard case and makes remote installs a one cable job. So, from the basics of PoE I can't fault it. Being critical there is a bit of fan noise so you wouldn't want one of these, let alone a bunch in your working area. Overall, a strong recommendation if you want the tidiness of a one cable install, have a PoE switch to drive it and have somewhere out of direct earshot to hide your Pi.

Works as advertised, just plug-and-play. Helps to reduce cable clutter in my rack.

We are building systems to run our cloud CCTV platform on. We had been using Gigabyte Brix, however recently we had found issues with the units being very sedative to power fluctuation, so a solution was needed. The Pi came to the rescue, especially as with the addition of the PoE hat, we could eliminate a bulky 3 way adaptor. We started by sourcing a few products from RS, but the range and options were expensive and limited. Then we found The Pi Hut and have never looked back. Great range of products a great prices. Fast tracked DHL delivery, and even when we screwed up and ordered the wrong part, return, replacement and refund were so fast, it blew our socks off.

I'm giving this three stars for two reasons: 1) the PoE hat occupies the entire 40 pin GPIO header and doesn't provide extension pins, making it difficult to access the GPIO for other uses 2) it runs warm, and sits directly above the Pi's CPU (if it's horizontal). This means in a normal room the fan will be running most of the time, and in a completely silent room (like a bedroom) it's loud. I intended to use a Pi with this hat for a project where it would be in a small sealed enclosure, but I think running all summer long with no ventilation will soon wear out the fan bearings, so I am exploring other avenues. Otherwise, this hat is great.
