PoE works very well, just a bit disappointed regarding the lack of instant access to the remaining I/O pins (I2C used). They can be accessed but with a bit of work which I have yet to try. The hat is perfect for a fixed position security camera as there is a slit in the hat for access to the camera connector (add ribbon cable before attaching hat though as it is a bit tight for finger access). The fan also works very well and is surprisingly quite. Well done on a great addition to the hats family.

This PoE hat was easy to plug-in and worked right out of the box. The problem is you lose all access to the GPIO pins which makes it unusable for me.

I bought this as a test to see how it worked. I have three 3B+ (and one 3B, but there's a compatibility issue there), and a 8 port switch with four PoE ports. Powers up just fine, but no connected USB peripherals, and so can't comment on the issues some have experienced. Would have been 5*, but the fan get's a little bit winy from time to time (only noticiab'le in a quiet room). Fit's in my stacking case without an issue. Before I biuy the rest I need to do some swapping of purpose (one 3B+ has a 5" screen attached, which will get in the way, so looking to switch that out for the 3B, which means re-configuring config.txt across all of them (booting over NFS connected to the Pi with the screen), but up to now, working well.

In principle a good idea, but a pity that a pi with this board installed will not fit in the official rapsberry pi case without some degree of butchery...

So far, so good. Works as expected. I've not been able to tell how effective the cooling fan is as the ambient temperature has dropped off a lot now where it is located. I did have to make some minor mods to the Official RPi 3 case I used as the mounting lugs moulded into the case that normally go through the RPi board needed to be removed. However it was nothing that a pair of cutters and a small file couldn't fix.

A great upgrade. Easy to install and setup. Only issue I've run into so far is sometimes I get the not enough power lightening icon in OSMC, haven't done any digging yet. Excellent service from pi hut as always.
