It was absolutely beautiful here, there’s a lovely walk not far and the staff are amazing. They are so welcoming and the dogs got fussed and treated like family. We loved our little trip. Thank you

Friendly staff - accommodated us with an evening meal when we arrived late just as the restaurant was closing. Room clean & tidy with dog treats & beds. Food was delicious.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Perfect weekend for 3!
We had a lovely stay at the Dunes from start to finish. The reception staff helped prepare my dads 80th birthday treat along with Sparkie their dog! I can’t fault the ladies who helped me and they all enjoyed the hotel, facilities and restaurant. The location was good also. Thanks again ladies! Elizabeth

Hotel location and hotel very good rooms and beds very big,, bar and restaurant can’t fault area and dogs allowed In any hard floor area . BUT food not too good limited choice and ran out of chickens and steak both nights by 7pm Only fish and scampi with chips or very hot chilli left if they fix that would give 4 stars But good for dogs we would probably go again staff nice and helpful.

We enjoyed our stay at the Dunes hotel, spending two nights and having dinner and breakfast on both evenings and mornings. The pros were that the staff were LOVELY. Especially the restaurant and bar staff, we couldn’t have been made more welcome and our Pomeranian Oscar was adored. The food was pretty good - the full English in particular was delicious. It was a good location to Roanhead but a bit of a drive to go anywhere else or note - I am sure this would be a great place to stay in the warmer months. The cons were the room itself. Big stains on the carpet, mould in the shower and particularly on the shower head where the water comes out. Missing usual items like a toilet roll holder and anywhere to hang your towel really. I know it’s only three star but these are basics I would expect it to have. Also the rooms are very noisy, especially from the rooms above so meant our dog was quite unsettled. It didn’t detract from our stay overall and the staff really made up for the deficit.

Would you like to add any more feedback about your stay? Fantastic dog friendly venue
Lovely location for those wanting to visit the Sandscale Haws Nature Reserve and the lake district. The hotel and the executive room was very well presented. The staff here are awesome, a standout bar member Jordan really looked after us every evening. Our dog fell in love with him. The food is outstanding at the restaurant from the breakfast to the main meals was amazing. We will be back, great value, lovely hotel and brilliant hospitality.
