Another major bargain from mx5parts! Superb quality, 100% polished Stainless Steel, single exit exhaust for the Mk1. Made exclusively by us, for us, this great exhaust has 57mm main pipework and a 90mm dual sleeve exit pipe.Tested and confirmed BHP Gain of 4 - 5! (Also increased torque)Supplied complete with all gaskets and fixing bolts. Fits Mk1 1989>1996 (upto chassis number JMZ...308212) having either the 370 or 440mm cat (please check!). Looks like it should be £300.00 worth. Five year warranty!

“A top quality exhaust, fitted this with the cat by pass pipe, fitted perfectly in less than one hour.This has transformed the car what a perfect sound, nicely balanced, just like a sports car should sound. Also it looks stunning the pictures on the web site don't do it justice.”

“Well, i have mixed emotions about this system. Its build quality is excellent (the fitters even commented on how perfectly it fitted!) the sound is tremendous, a low burble on gentle acceleration and on the overun, and a fantastic rasp if you give it some!!!!! However (i am being very picky) i was hoping it would be a little quieter. Its just that weeeee bit too loud to be perfect for me. I know you cant have everything, so will be sticking with it and just accepting that occassionaly someone will shout a rude word at me!I think the phrase "would sound utterly fantastic on someone elses 5" kind of sums up my opinion.Def recommended”

“This is a great exhaust, however I found that it is very boomy (is that a word?) between 2500 and 4000 revs.The performance improvement (with the silenced cat by-pass) is very noticeable, with much more responsive throttle.If I were racing or about 20 years younger I may have kept it but it's now up for sale used for 1 month on MX5OC.I still think its great value!”

“Fantastic, arrived by lunchtime next day and the hardest part of the fitting was getting the old exhaust off! Once it was off the nice shiny new one was in place within about 20 minutes - and this from someone who can barely change a wheel!”

“The exhaust fitting: I read on the net that the exhaust could be a hassle to fit for novice hobby mechanics like me. I therefore got the local mechanic to take care of it. My car is 1993 model, and is roughly taken care of so it had a lot of rust underneath, which caused a little use of force to get all the bolts loose. I watched the whole process and there was no fitting problem whatsoever! Excellent build and finish quality. Now that I've seen the fitting prosess I think I could have done it myself if I had the possibility to jack the car up and work under it. I even paid less than half of what those fancy exhaust-shops wanted for the fitting, so my smile is quite big right now.The sound: At first I was disappointed. This is my first exhaust upgrade ever, so I guess I expected too much. In the workshop it sounded raspy, in silent surroundings. But when the car got warm, I picked my buddy up and we went straight to the nearest and longest stretch of tunnel: WOW! I already loved the high-rev characteristic of the 1.6 but really, WOW, this was awesome. Really good noise when the rpm's rise! Raspy and meaty without too much droning. We are car guys but have never driven something with an aftermarket exhaust so this was definetley a pleasant, biblical experience :-) RECOMMENDED to every MX-5 driver, a exhaust upgrade is a must on these little fun machines...I bought this exhaust roughly a week ago. The delievery was quick (I live in Norway). This is my first personal purchase from MX5part.co.uk and I will recommend them to all MX-5/Miata drivers.Next stop: Headers and air filter!”
