Another major bargain from mx5parts! Superb quality, 100% polished Stainless Steel, single exit exhaust for the Mk1. Made exclusively by us, for us, this great exhaust has 57mm main pipework and a 90mm dual sleeve exit pipe.Tested and confirmed BHP Gain of 4 - 5! (Also increased torque)Supplied complete with all gaskets and fixing bolts. Fits Mk1 1989>1996 (upto chassis number JMZ...308212) having either the 370 or 440mm cat (please check!). Looks like it should be £300.00 worth. Five year warranty!

“I order this part along with the silecned decat pipe for my 1.6 the day before new years eve. Both parts were delivered to the garage i use on monday 4th (the day i arranged for the car to go in). My mechanic said they were absolutely no problem to fit and teamed up with the K+N filter charger i fitted produce a delightful sporty engine note and the car is free revving through 1st to 3rd gear like a dream.Great service and parts.”

“If this was a review based purely on build quality this would get the maximum mark allowed. Its built to nearly HKS quality, just superb build and could have been tailor made. It actually fitted better than the standard exhaust. Welds were excellent, materials sublime. Excellently manufactured....BUT... My god its loud. Properly get pulled over by the police type loud. Lose neighbours friendship type loud. Unpleasant to drive on the dual carriageway type loud. Embarrasingly loud.I'm going to try a silenced decat, hopefully this will sort it. I'm 30, but I would not be happy with this level of volume even at 20. There is no way I could use it on any track day, and I don't see how it would pass an MoT.”

“nice exhaust note..not too loud but nice and deep tone.easy to fit (old system a real pain to remove) not noticed any power gains but very good value for money. finish acceptable and 5 year warranty a nice touch.”

“An excellent value for money exhaust, fitting was simple and everything lined up perfect, the only hard part was removing the old exhaust! but plenty of penetrating oil, a hacksaw and hammer soon had it off, in total less than one hour to remove and re fit.On the road it sounds great, yes more noise than standard but of the right type and not boy racer type boom, just chrisp and sporty as a sports car should be, i have left the cat in place so you don't get the underfloor boom that can come from a de-cat car.I would recommend this as a great value replacement and delivery was realy fast, next working day!!”

“Got this exhaust at the Planet MX5 tech day. Fitted when i got home. Absolutely brilliant.... I have got it with a de cat pipe (non silenced) and it is great. Nice rumble idle and loud when you put your foot down. Quite raspy but sounds great. Excellent exhaust. No problems fitting and was very shiny.”

“Beautifully made, fitted easily to the previously bought MX5parts decat and lined up perfectly with the mounts and bumper cut-out. I removed the RH tow-eye (easy) just in case I should suffer the snagging problems that one or two others have suffered. Honestly, a 30 minute job and that includes removing the original.Power? Probably not. Sound? Oh Lordy.....its WONDERFUL. In conjunction with the decat and a K&N 57i induction kit, it now has deep burble at idle which builds to a full on scream beyond 3.5-4k. Nice subtle rasp as you head up the rev range as well. The Roadster sounds the way it looks now. Love it.Kev (Five Alive)ps. Did the 14 degree timing advance at the w/end. Do it. Doddle. What a difference. What power and torque the wee 16 had is now more accessible. Recommended.”
