At Basco, we source the finest Galician beef from the Northwest of Spain. Our Galician beef range comes from retired Frisona dairy cows between 6 and 8 years old, allowing for natural grass-fed marbling. These older cows have a higher percentage fat content and more marbling, resulting in a unique and distinct flavor. Each Galician rib steak is dry-aged for a minimum of 35 days. Was extremely disappointed, sadly. It had zero fat cap and very little fat marbelling in the meat. It hence lacked any meaningful 'beefy' flavour and was very mild in flavor. Didn't seem was aged at all, let alone for time claimed, was very 'wet'. Is OK, but expected much much more from it given the excellent reviews.

2nd time ordering with Basco. A bit disappointed this time around. One of the items provided doesn’t match what I ordered. Ordered one ribeye and one sirloin. Received one ribeye and one strange looking piece that doesn’t resemble either ribeye or sirloin nor the image in the listing. Not sure I’d order again based on this. Yet to cook it so it may still be delicious but not what I ordered.

We fried the steak in a very hot pan for five minutes turning every 90 seconds It smelt divine but as a steak it was very disappointing. The meat was quite tough which would have been okay on its own but the whole steak was full of inedible connective tissue We ended up making a fantastic stock from the bone and connective tissue. But that’s not really what I bought a steak for
