At Basco, we source the finest Galician beef from the Northwest of Spain. Our Galician beef range comes from retired Frisona dairy cows between 6 and 8 years old, allowing for natural grass-fed marbling. These older cows have a higher percentage fat content and more marbling, resulting in a unique and distinct flavor. Each Galician rib steak is dry-aged for a minimum of 35 days. Originating in the Basque Country, Txuleton steaks are large 35oz rib steaks, carefully prepared and cooked to bring out their rich taste. Galician Rib Steak (1kg)

“More Fat than Meat Sous Vide the Steak so Didn't Take Any Chances with Over or Under Cooking Carved A LOT of Fat to Get to the Meat , Beyond a Little Marbling Perhaps it was just the Cut I was Given Not as Tasty as a Previous Galician Steak I'd had at the Restaurant The Spanish Butcher in Glasgow Flavour Disappointing Again Perhaps just this Cut Not Been Disappointed with Any Other Basco Products so Far just this One”

“The steak supplied had excess fat not just at the edge but right thru it in large sections, which add flavor but do restrict the amount of meat to enjoy. There were tough parts of meat but that close to the bone as very tender and had a good depth of flavors, Overall good but not great.”
