At Basco, we source the finest Galician beef from the Northwest of Spain. Our Galician beef range comes from retired Frisona dairy cows between 6 and 8 years old, allowing for natural grass-fed marbling. These older cows have a higher percentage fat content and more marbling, resulting in a unique and distinct flavor. Each Galician rib steak is dry-aged for a minimum of 35 days. I can't stress how pleased I am to be able to access to this high-quality Galician rib-steak cut from the UK. The marbling is fantastic and the meat is full flavoured, which is a clear indicator of the quality of the product and the way the animals are feed and cared-for.

A massive steak which fed a family of three. I had to cook it in a griddle pan as it's winter and not too keen to fire up the barbie. It worked well and the steak was juicy, tender, and tasty even with just a simple addition of rock salt before cooking.

Wow I am a barbecue nut and smoke meat every week this steak was on another level to any wagyu or tomahawk I have ever cooked it’s the nuts

The meet is so hard, shouldn’t happy for mid-rare cook, must from a very old cow.
