“The onsite parking was chaotic, the only spaces available were at the back of the hotel which was poorly lit and felt unsafe. I required a disabled accessible parking spaces. Only 1 Blue Badge parking space was avaialbe on site which is not acceptable for a hotel with 184 rooms. The Equality Act 2020 requires a duty to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people, along with Building Regulations part M British Standard BS8300 require that 5% of rooms in a hotel be accessible. The hotel should have had a minimum of 5 diasbled bays and ended up parking in an isolated part of the car park which was unsafe for me to use. The hotel was very shabby and in need of renovation, the general cleaning was to a poor standard and I won't be using the hotel again.”
“Staff upon entry was quite rude, didn't seem like he wanted to be there. Staff on exit was much nicer. Room was probs one of the worse rooms i ever stayed in. Wall were filthy, carpets had multiple stains on, Bathroom was battered and the wires were lose on the electrical rad in bathroom. Have photos of all of these. Will never stay here again.”
“We were a little apprehensive after reading some poor reviews. But our experience was fine, parking was easy and the room was clean and comfortable. We arrived 3 hours latter than planned due to an M4 closure arriving at 10.45pm. I tried ringing the hotel multiple times to advise our delay but the phone was not answered. When we finally arrived there was nothing open to buy something to eat so we had to make do with a coffee in our room.”
“We booked a hotel and parking package but needed to move the car to long stay after the overnight stay and then catch the shuttle service to Heathrow Terminal 2. Two buses refused to stop at the Airport on our return, so the 10 minute wait turned into nearly 30 minutes!
The barrier also failed to rise on exit from the longstay carpark and I needed to explain the situation twice to two different operators before I could exit the carpark!”
“On arrival I informed the receptionist that we had booked 2 rooms and I had confirmation that we requested one to be accessible, with an accessible shower, for my 89 year old disabled mother. We were given keys to 2 rooms on the first floor that were a long distance from the lift, which my mother struggled to walk to with her walking sticks. We discovered it was a regular room with a shower over a bath. I returned to reception and was shown a basic ground floor room very close to reception, but disappointingly, with a shower which had a high step. Unusable for her but we accepted as we were only staying one night. The receptionist was very pleasant. The bar and restaurant were welcoming and the location of the hotel convenient.”
