We arrived and they didn’t have the room we had reserved and paid for in advance. Room dirty and smelled of smoke. Parking in a garage full of pidgeons nesting above cars littering the whole place with guano. Never afán.

We were very disappointed when we arrived that our booking had been downgraded from a king to a queen! The reason given was that there were no more kings available. Having booked this several months ago it should have been reserved at the time of booking. The room was very cramped and in one corner (to the right of the head of the bed) there was a damp stain for most of the length of the wall. We suspect that there had been a leak from the shower the other side of the wall. There was mould on the stain.

Nice public areas and good parking. There was a long queue to check in as only one person on the desk. Our room had no TV remote and they were unable to find one.

I would recommend Mercure Heathrow if you have no expectations of anything smart or fancy and just want a bed for the night before or after your flight. Our double room was small for the price, tired and a bit grubby with a stained carpet. The door handle to the ensuite was broken. We had an evening meal from the buffet and it was nothing special. My vegetarian meal consisted of noodles and mixed vegetables (possibly from a pack of frozen veg). We didn't try breakfast as our flight was early.

Good sized room, plenty of parking. EV charger. Close to airport. Reasonable bar and excellent buffet in restaurant.

I have stayed in Mercure Hotels in both France and the UK and have become accustomed to both the general high standard all round that they project. It is with disappointment that I feel Heathrow Mercure needs an inspection from your head office viz:- Immediately outside one is greeted by a load of very noisy employees smoking etc The staff in the Restaurant particularly the waitress had difficulty in understanding what we said. The bathroom had faulty light bulbs which kept flashing which should have been picked up when the rooms were cleaned. The outside of the hotel looked down market. On the plus side the two staff on reception were very helpful

No electricity on one side of the hotel room. TV, fridge, plug sockets did not work on that side of the wall, we had one plug that worked to be able to charge all our devices for our morning flight the next day. The shower was also broken so instead of facing downwards only half worked and sprayed where it wanted. Poor bed, extremely hard. We arrived at 1am and left at 7am due to the amount we had to travel, so luckily did not have to stay too long. Overall very disappointed with what we received. No one asked us how our stay was when we left to be able to advise of all the issues within the room.
