“Whilst the location for this hotel is good there are plenty in the surrounding areas that are better. The hotel itself was clean and the staff were friendly and polite, however our room was on the ground floor, next to the lift lobby and was extremely noisy all night. My daughter, who is 12 had to sleep on a camp bed which was right in front of the air conditioning unit and as a result we couldn’t have it on as she would have frozen! The underground car park was very small and cramped, not good if you drive a bigger car like I do.”
“Booked room for two adults, one child. When arrived booking only showed two adults? Had paperwork to prove, it was booked correctly. Staff acted like they were doing us a favour sorting out the issue.
Room was nice at first look. Air conditioner didn’t work, it was very hot. Ants running around child’s single room, on windowsill, on the walls, in the bed. So she slept on the sofa bed. Fridge didn’t work, which I needed to keep medication cold. Sink was blocked in bathroom, in formed staff and no one came to fix it. Only one towel in a room that is meant to cater for 5 people. When asked for more we were given one more to share between the three of us.”
“A basic and no frills place to stay pre-flight. On site parking, handy location, tired rooms with dated bathrooms. Check-in very slow. 50 mins wait for dinner to be served. All in all, I’d give it a 7/10.”
“Cannot fault the staff, all friendly and helpful. However, room was cramped, decor was old and scruffy. Good in the restaurant was overpriced, small portions and the ceiling in the restaurant was filthy. Disappointing, would not use again.”
“Mercury was ok. Its functional and everything works fine. But it looks and feels pretty tired and therefore over priced for what it is. There are much better ore attractive alternatives for similar price.”
