“Don't be put off by first appearances as it's almost hidden behind the main road in a sort of cul-de-sac. There was adequate parking (above and underground) and the hotel was just lovely. The rooms are not huge but for a night before a flight, they were perfect - very clean and comfortable, nice bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was a nice-looking restaurant although we didn't make use of it, seemed reasonably priced too. Would be happy to use it again when we next fly from LHR.”
“Very disappointed. The Mercure local to me has a great reputation but the room was grotty.
The shower head is in desperate need of changing and the room needs a lick of paint.
Location was good for terminal 3 but that’s the only positive.”
“The staff were friendly but gave us the wrong room keys. Rooms were clean but tatty, scuffed and marked paintwork, backs falling off TV remote.
The biggest problem was parking, no spaces in any of the parking areas. Had to leave the car on double yellow lines. Staff admitted that the airport parking was overbooked. Didn't get much sleep as I worried my car would be damaged or blocked in thus meaning we would miss flight! Total shambles!”
“Good checking in service and rooms clean. A shame that their were plastering works in the corridor with the smell of wet plaster. Only complaint the bar had no Tonic Water for a well needed G&T”
