“I was very surprised to see the whole downstairs area being used as some kind of Asian recruitment/employment exchange. No real quiet areas for guests who were just there for the night before catching planes. I was also disappointed in the bar staff. The first member of staff asked us what we wanted but then walked off to make coffees for some of the recruitment/employment people, just totally ignoring us. When we were eventually served by someone else she poured a lager with a huge head of foam so we had to ask her to fill the glass up with beer not foam. Then when pouring the 2nd beer she did the same again, and again with the 3rd beer! I don't know if you're staff are trained to serve very large heads on your beer but this something that is totally unacceptable especially at the ridiculously high prices you are charging for it.”
“The hotel had a smell as we entered. We went to our rooms as we had 2 booked. Room one the carpet was stained, the smell was not pleasant. A tray had been left outside someone’s room along the corridor this was still there the next morning. The hotel is very dated. We only had one towel for 3 people. The room felt dirty - none of us slept well. Had to ask for another pillow as the one on the bed stunk.
Second room also had stained carpet and floaty smell. Not pleasant at all.
Would not stay here again and would not recommend.”
“Hotel was dated and dingy. Corridors to rooms very narrow as was door to room and entrance to room area. Shower was dated and not very powerful. Staff in the restaurant rude and took plates away as we were eating!”
