“The products weren't airtight. Whilst it's a good idea to use recyclable packaging putting a perishable items in a paper bag folding it over and sealing with a sticker isn't up to the job. I would presume you would advise customers to keep products with without air contact then don't send them this way yourself. My items were only in transit for a few days but things can get delayed or what about overseas orders. I think you package earl grey sealed but ginger is very potent as is mint etc A delicate white tea would get ruined If packed together with mint and in a package for a week or so. Enviropak have compostable pouches and are sealable. Also I wasn't given the option regarding packaging and had to hunt around for mylar bags I have, as it was I had enough but if I hadn't it would of a few more days the items would of been in contact with air.
As to the products I ordered. The mints are good quality though a few crushed leaves and I ordered whole leaf. Pay attention to make sure any broken leaf is omitted. Lemon verbena similar thoughts. Redbush was good. Honeybush I enjoyed but as I've never had it before I can't really say if it's excellent because I don't have a comparison. Lemongrass was decent but I've had much better albeit it was much more expensive. Price wise everything was very reasonable which I commend you on
Getting other types of mint world be nice. Chocolate mint or apple mint for example. It was good you had spearmint
I don't really like the health claims being made even with the qualifications. If there's not concrete evidence for something and as you say you aren't qualified it's best to just make no claims or comments about anything to do with nutrition. People can of course find cited studies etc but what tends to happen is they don't and just rely on confirmation bias when they get vague "wellness" claims because looking at reputable resources is more work. My opinion is that it just contributes towards a broader misunderstanding of science. It's not an uncommon thing unfortunately. It's one of reasons I've never bought from Mei Leaf or will because of their schilling of Chinese "medicine"
In summary. Keep products airtight always. Remove any health claims entirely, people can and should go look at reputable resources. If people are buying herbs etc for any reputed benefit they don't really need the "wellness" claims they will purchase regardless. I don't see the point of the claims logically as it will put off anyone like myself that needs empirical data and those that don't well you are only telling them what they want to hear and it's preaching to the converted.
