“I have a subscription with this company fo decaffeinated black tea. However when I tried to introduce a friend, the £5.00 off voucher didn't work for her. She rang the company, I rang the company, both more than once with no response. I then emailed and eventually got a response with a new code that didn't work either. Conclusion : the customer service is terrible and had I been able to get my tea elsewhere I would have cancelled my subscription Unfortunately the 2 companies which fitted my ethical needs were out of stock. I may try them again. ..”
“I received sample 25g packs instead of the 100 g packs I thought I’d ordered. These are disproportionately expensive at £4.75 for 25 g, so I would never have ordered them intentionally. I was refunded, but after I paid £3.60 for the return postage, I was left seriously out of pocket.”
“I ordered 500gms of green gunpowder tea which is a very good product and although my order was delivered timely I only received 450 grams instead of the 500gms stated on the website. My last few orders have been less than the advertised amount but this is by far the most. Note I weigh the tea in the bag so the 450gms does include the bag. I share the tea I buy with my mum so I always weigh the bag so I can split it evenly which is how I know the amount has been steadily reducing.”
“This was bought for a present. Have ordered before and the recipient enjoys the products. However I’ve marked yiu down as I would have spent more had you been able to enclose a gift voucher with the order. Last time I ordered both but it was clumsy and didn’t make the perfect gift 🫤”
“I have been asking for the ingredients to a specific tea for around 4 months and keep chasing but still not had an answer which is quiet concerning. I asked what oil is used in the roobios earl grey and the “natural flavourings” in the orange cream roobios because I have taken a reaction to this tea and need to know what’s in the “natural flavourings” I have chased several times and would really like an answer. I was told at one point it’s a secret but given I have taken a reaction I need to know what I’m consuming.”
“The tea arrived well packed and in reasonable time. I was disappointed in the flavour of the camomile tea. It was rather bland and I wish I hadn’t ordered so much!”
“I appreciate the plastic reduction you are trying to implement. Unfortunately, it meant that the packaging of my items and the instruction leaflet were all water damaged - the actual items, including the tea were fine. However, since all the purchases are for gifts I have e-mailed the company to ask for replacement packaging and the leaflet. The package was left outside since I work full time. Unlucky that it was a rainy day.”
“Was looking for a replacement for Jeeves & Jericho Russian Caravan Tea as it has been dropped from their range. Tried the organic version from here but unfortunately it didn't have anywhere near the flavour I have been used to. Nothing wrong with service received just not to my taste. My search continues.”
“Really enjoy the spearmint and peppermint teas, always taste fresh and delivery is quick. Seems a bit unfair to give only 3 stars but this is because i've been trying, unsuccessfully for several weeks, to set up a subscription. Every time i try the website feezes, regardless of which browser i use. Tried emailing customer services but never got a reply. I'd give a higher rating if it wasn't for this issue.”
“Teas not as 'tasty' as their description and contents. Also, a bit inconvenient not knowing teas were coming in temporary paper bags, meaning I had to hunt through various containers I had for the most suitable (I had bought 5 teas X 100g each!), then had to transfer with tape the descriptive labels to those containers. I will persevere with assessing the taste of these teas but they're not really as impressive as previous suppliers I've used.”

I think Royal Mail may have delivered it to a neighbouring property which is only used occasionally during the day as a business, and I haven’t been able to access it.”
“Disappointed. I like a really strong cuppa. I was disappointed trying the tea. Maybe I didn't put enough tealeaves into the pot, but it tasted of nothing, very pale colour & no flavour. I will try again by putting more leaves to less water. I hope this will improve the flavour. Apart from that the delivery was quick & efficient & the service very good.”
