“Poor design – men’s beanies have very scratchy labels inside that cannot be removed. They are placed exactly over the ears and on the back of the head (and why are there three of them?). Sizing is also questionable. It depends on the style, but in one style there is no difference between M/L and XL, while in another there is a massive size gap. I tried five styles, not only from the official brand website but also from local retailers, and the issue was the same. Quality looks really good and the waterproof features are amazing, but the sizing is odd.”

“bought the convertible mittens they dont keep warm at all , the glove gets super cold due to the material and damn magnets . the thumb is way too long over all a horrible design for the price .”

“I ordered some thermal socks from sealskins, selected the options, thermal socks, road cycling, and cold weather. three options appeared, I chose the Caister. These socks are just not warm. I've experienced very cold feet on the two occasions ive used them. This despite wearing suitable cycling shoes, and endura winter neoprene overshoes.”

“Overpriced and cheaply made mittens so I returned them. Return was easy enough through their AI bot, although ordered from their Canadian web site, the product was shipped from the UK. Plus, they received the item almost 2 weeks ago from me returning it (which I had to pay for the return shipping), and I still haven’t been refunded. Will be calling them in a few days. Overall, bad experience!!”

“I was led to believe sealskinz gloves were waterproof. The ones I ordered were not do I returned them and my money was kindly refunded. Was just disappointed as the ones I bought a few years ago were really nice.”

“I am happy with the waterproof socks I purchased, they keep my feet warm and dry. I am not delighted with the heated waterproof gloves I bought. Unless I scrunch my hand into a fist I do not feel the warmth in my fingers. Even after charging for the initial 12 hours, and using varying heat control levels, the gloves only held their charge for 1 hour. On subsequent 6 hour charging - similar power time. The gloves also feel heavy.”

“This review is related to the lifetime warranty process. Sealskinz advertises a hassle free lifetime warranty. But the process is far from hassle free. You take multiple pictures, videos and water tests and 10 emails with customer service before they send you a replacement. The process is definitely not hassle free as advertised”

“I have had them a few weeks now and at first thought them very good quality. However now after very light usage working patrol security both glove linings have ripped and the right glove thumb section is starting to come away from the main body of the glove which for a pair of gloves that cost £55 I think is rather disappointing”

“The quality of the glove is stunning. Unfortunately, the gap for your hand and wrist are very very tight especially when you put the battery in to the wrist gauntlet. I am unable to close the Velcro fastening due to the size of the wristlet is far far too small. I own our small wrists and this doesn’t fit once the glove is on they fit exactly like a glove. Also, the heat provided on full is insufficient when temperatures are below -2 both these items need to be worked on as soon as possible for version 2 to make them an ultimate glove for winter excursions. I took these to Norway and only took them out when it was -2 they didn’t work very well in -8.”

“Bought heated gloves. Delivered quickly. Gloves are very difficult to get on because the opening is too tight when the batteries are in place. This is made worse when you’ve managed to get one glove on, because the gloves are tooo cumbersome to enable you to use the gloved hand. Also the thumb is cut too long so becomes useless as there is too much material.”
