The maxi plugs were smaller than I expected and some were struggling a bit, when they arrived. I hope they’ll all grow well.

Was so disappointed with my plants they had all been cut off in order to fit into postage container am trying to get them to recover but do not hold out much hope.

Hi Mrs Tobin Thank you for your review. We do not cut plants to fit into a container however the growers sometimes prune items for the benefit of the plant over winter. Of the 3 hebe delivered, one is moribund, one is ailing and the 3rd will just about survive

My first delivery was very poor plants The replacements weren't much better,due to Evri delivery,should have arrived on Saturday got an update Monday to say delayed arrive Tuesday

Tulip bulbs ok but pansies and violas very sad for themselves only 50% survived, possibly due to hot weather when dispatched and to long in transit.

Unfortunately arrived very late even though they were planted I can only hope they will come through nect spring

The sweet williams arrived, looking good and are growing in nicely. However I have been disappointed with the wallflowers. Out of 33 I only had around 16 still flourishing. They all received the same treatment from me, so I don't know what went wrong.

Plants were much smaller than I expected. However, I have no greenhouse but because we were having a warm spell of weather I have planted them straight into containers and am keeping my fingers crossed.

Hi Anita Thank you for your review. We do advise that our X coded items should be grown on for a few weeks ideally in a greenhouse or similar as they have not yet been hardened off. If you don't have a greenhouse then I would recommend ordering the XG coded items which are garden ready so can be planted straight out. Kind regards, Trish

Ordered 60 daff bulbs. They came in 4 packs of 15 each pack contained 2 bulbs that had rotted and had to be thrown away.

Seed packets weren't all uniform size like other companies so don't fit neatly into my filing system.

I bought 66 wallflower plug plants. They were so tiny, and about a dozen of them were broken and dead. I have had orders from you before and not had any bother, but I am very disappointed in this order.

Bulbs arrived in good shape. Not yet clear how they will perform as most are intended for Spring. It is not possible to provide any accurate judgement. I am not planting tulips just yet. They do not look particularly enormous.

We have spent several hundred pounds in the past few years. Despite carefully following the instructions on planting and positioning we have only had success with a very small percentage of the bare root plants and shrubs supplied. This is a reminder to ALL customers to ensure YOU take regular photos of ALL plants in situ - therefore you will be able to substantiate a guarantee claim for ANY failures. Sadly for us we did not do this but have learned our lesson.

I have purchased plants and bulbs from J. Parker's for many years. This is my first comment. Packaging and customer contact have improved greatly. Spring bulbs, and the choice, have always pleased. Plants have pleased and dismayed. This year, for example, plants worth more than £40 died before they reached the garden. I have not long discovered that some 30 petunias I ordered (the ordinary trumpet variety) are some other flower! Unlike last year. I was successful with a large number of starter bedding plants, like pansies, geraniums, etc by keeping them indoors for weeks and watering by dipping the tray bottoms in water. Collections - for example - of pinks, bare roots phlox, border asters - all died! Yet they and others were planted in pots in quality potting-on compost, kept indoors and watered carefully. A collection of "rock geraniums" grew well, weakly or not at all. A collection of fuchsias is growing and flowering (some I purchased last year are also healthy). Three free shrubs were growing well in pots together and one - a usually easy plant grow grow - suddenly expired. A pleasing free collection of border plants although potted on, indoors, wilted and died one after the other. As I assume such plants are "forced" I try to nurse them on but this time was certainly a failure. Pleased to see Parker's selling seeds - the ones I purchased grew. Hi Brian Thank you for your review and I am sorry to learn of some disappointing results with your order. All our perennials are grown outdoors since being young seedlings, this ensures that they are hardy so I can assure you they are not forced as they are not grown in greenhouse conditions. This does mean that they are far better off being planted outside rather than indoors as planting them in conditions they are not used to can shock them which can lead to their demise. Plants were ok when they finally arrived except the 'orange' geraniums turned out to be pink.....quotef 21 days, took 5 weeks, order wad sit i to 5 or 6 seperate deliveries when I would have preferred 1
