About Halo:

Halo is a registered charity and social enterprise running 22 sport and leisure centres throughout Herefordshire, Bridgend County Borough, Shropshire and Swindon on behalf of the local authorities. We often discuss our status as a social enterprise, but many of our customers are unsure of what it actually means and more importantly, how it benefits them. Being a social enterprise means Halo trades for social purposes. We are a registered charity and 'not for profit' organisation, with no shareholders.

The money we make is ploughed back into the facilities.

“Superb centre. Very friendly and helpful staff on the desk at reception but the main attraction for me are the exercise classes. In my opinion, you'd be hard pushed to find comparable classes in the county. Mark, the fitness instructor is an experienced teacher who delivers exceptional classes with a sense of fun.”

“Halo Centre Maesteg has been a big part of my life for the last 30 yrs. I couldn't imagine life without this centre for the people of Maesteg etc. We are very lucky to have this facility in this town. All the Staff are brilliant and very welcoming, and the classes are second to none run by the very popular Mark Rees.”
