About Halo:

Halo is a registered charity and social enterprise running 22 sport and leisure centres throughout Herefordshire, Bridgend County Borough, Shropshire and Swindon on behalf of the local authorities. We often discuss our status as a social enterprise, but many of our customers are unsure of what it actually means and more importantly, how it benefits them. Being a social enterprise means Halo trades for social purposes. We are a registered charity and 'not for profit' organisation, with no shareholders.

The money we make is ploughed back into the facilities.

“Staff are polite and friendly, the equipment is always well maintained and the entry system is efficient. The golf course could be better maintained but has remained open throughout a very wet Winter, so they should be given the chance to sort it out as it dries. The court hire cost is a little high, but at the same time there is always good availability.”

“Staff are fantastic. Got me interested and have kept me motivated. Nothing seems too much trouble, from helping set up a training program to guiding me through a new machine and getting best use from it. Love the classes too”

“There are plenty of different opportunities to keep me interested. Some classes are booked up fully before i look and the lockers at the pool in Leominster are all broken so there are not many availiable for me to secure my stuff.”
