“I ordered a brass fire trim surround but a steel one was delivered, it was clearly marked on the box steel.”

“Ordered stove rope and glue. After 3 weeks no sign of order. Contacted company who advised that glue was not available and their supplier could not advise when delivery was expected. In order to improve customer experience, Grate Fireplace Accessories should have contacted myself to advise of this but I was only advised after contacting them. Staff dealing with my enquiry were friendly and asked if I wished to go ahead with the order. I therefore cancelled the order for the glue, the cost of which was reimbursed but wished to go ahead with the stove rope order. The rope was received quickly. I had ordered 2 metres of the rope, but when received they had sent 2 x 1 metre lengths. There is no facility on their ordering to request 2 metres but given the fact that I had ordered 2 metres in length I assumed I would receive a full 2 metres. 1 metre is probably too short for most modern stoves. They should amend their ordering screen to take account of this. All in all not a bad company but they have to improve their customer communication and ordering process.”

“Fire tile adhesive Work time 10 min Approx before fully selling . Inadequate work time considering ( 30 mins was recommended time on tub) also does not cover sqm recommended”

“Fantastic, helpful and friendly service and really pleased with quality and value for money. My only gripe is the delivery arrangements, the courier did not advise when they were coming and do not give time slots for rearranged deliveries. This made it extremely annoying and frustrating, they told me that this is the arrangement agreed with the vendor but could be upgraded to a "normal" courier service at the vendors request (I expect at more expense). I would NEVER order anything again from anyone who used this courier offering the service arrangement I received. I am not unemployed and don't have time to waste. If I had been offered a choice, I would have been happy to pay any extra for a "normal" delivery. This is the second time I have been a victim of this courier (different vendors) and their ridiculous arrangements. Anything I order now I always make sure the courier is not DX.”

“Ordered a fire grate and a pan. The grate is ideal, solid and does the job perfectly. The pan is very thin and has burnt through the resistant layer after 2 fires. There is one place in the pan where it appears a hole is about to burn completely through, it is certainly cracked. Not ideal with the price of postage we paid to NI.”

“I placed and paid for my order but after some delay had to chase up the order. The customer services of the company were extremely friendly, apologetic and very efficient in reporting back to me. However, I am still waiting for a refund of one of the items that was out of stock and the reed fire wood basket bears little resemblance to the image on line. The workmanship is shoddy and disappointing.”

I have had a look at your order and I can see that a refund was processed on 14th January, back to the original payment method. You may just wish to check your bank to ensure that has come through. With regards to the log basket, I am sorry to hear that it was not what you had expected. If you'd like to send this product back to us, we'd be happy to offer a full refund for this also. “Solid enough for the job but the finish was not up to scratch. Sharp edges should have been sanded down. Nearly cut myself. Remember this is for a domestic setting not an abattoir.”

“I made a mistake with delivery day immediately tried to rectify it and left a message and texts but no response,Fortunately a neighbour helped.Had trouble lighting my fire and was promised advice from the makers and I asked about remote control but have had no response.”

“The single item I had ordered online failed to be delivered by the next day service extended to three days because of driver availability. It took nearly two weeks for it to arrive. The product is excellent, good value for money.”
