Massively overpriced, once I found the tile manufacturer on the tile, they sell them for much less. Tiles damaged and poorly packaged. Customer service fine, woman on the phone felt with issues quickly.

The order process was very good. The delivery (which I appreciate is outsourced) was extremely poor. I was notified firstly the delivery would be delayed. There was no indication of a new delivery date. A week after the expected delivery date I called your customer service team who promised to follow this up. I heard nothing more from them. Then the grate arrived two days later without an apology form the courier service.

Unable to complete as my order has been delayed by Evri. Very disappointing. Waiting to be advised if lost or damaged. No tracking provided.

Had to chase to get any information about order. Turns out it's hasn't been sent out because part of the order was out of stock. No communication just not delivered. Fire then sent out after me requesting it. Logs turned up 5 days later. Really poor communication and customer service. Being on hold for 20 mins each time aswell is unacceptable.

Happy with purchases, but disappointed by lack of promised discount on repeat order. Whilst I recognise it was probably due to me misfiling the voucher code, you should have honoured the discount just by checking the order history after I queried it.

A mix of good and bad with Grate Fireplace. For context I live in the rural noth of Scotland, 36 miles from John o' Groats. I needed rope urgently (don't ask). I was a first time buyer. Chose the firm mostly because a speedy Post Office delivery was an option. I was prepared to pay the extra because it saved a round trip of 50 miles to our local town. Our posties know us all by name and know where to leave a package. Somehow the package was not sent by post office. It went to a courier firm. They were useless! After 48 hours I chased it up. A quick response from GFA but they passed on a promise from the courier that proved false. After another 48 hours GFA told me their courier doesn't deliver to remote areas and was passing it to another courier... after a week I gave up. I told GFA to call the package back and went to our hardware store and got the rope there. Typical, the delivery was made whilst I was out. GFA refunded me promptly, that was good. I emailed asking to make arrangements to return the package but nothing so far. The trouble all happened because the package was not sent by PO which I selected.

I ordered my replacement glass for my wood stove on the 2nd of December, I was told after 2 weeks that it would be with me soon from the glass cutters however I think my order was overlooked so after phoning & emailing Grate fireplace accessories on the 16th of December we finally got our purchase today, hooray as it's getting cold out there! Jo thankfully sorted out our issue.

Unfortunately my grate turned up with and wasn’t sprayed properly so had chrome showing through the black paint also the welding was not very good and the sides of the grate did not align. Customer service have been helpful and arranged a replacement but as yet I don’t know when this will arrive and no further details have been forthcoming which is disappointing

Ordered my hearth tiles over 2weeks ago and still have no date when they will be delivered even though the website stated “delivered in 1 week” very misleading. I’m hoping that they will be delivered next week but don’t know. Don’t know if this company are true to their word?

Hello Mr Savage, Thank you for your review, these tiles are usually on a next or 3 day delivery but unfortunately as per the e-mails we sent to you our supplier had an issue with their dye/enamelling machine so we had to wait until this was rectified in order for the tiles to be made. On checking again with our supplier on 19th and again 21st they assured us that this has now been sorted and the tiles are in process which was explained in the e-mail you received and given the option to cancel or await delivery. As soon as we receive stock we will dispatch your order for next working day delivery and you will receive an e-mail to let you know that the order is on its way. We are sorry for the delay. Have not received the order yet. They have not kept me informed about the delay. Only by emailing them have I found out there is a delay with supplier. Even since this they have not kept me updated. Considering cancelling the order but difficult to find the product anywhere else. Disappointing

I'm not sure why I am being asked to give a review. I have ordered something through Grate Fireplace Accessories, but... - I have never received a confirmation email of what I ordered - I have never been given an update of when it will arrive - I have received 3 special offer marketing emails - I have received a request to review the service Not sure what else to say. Would be nice if your customer service extended to something more than marketing campaigns

Hello Gareth, Thank you for your review, you would have received an automated confirmation e-mail when you placed the order but it may have gone into your junk/spam folder which occasionally happens. With reference to delivery - as you have ordered a custom made item it is an approximate 3 week lead time which is advised on the website hence why you have not received any delivery details yet but as soon as your ashpan is ready you will receive an e-mail to let you know it is on the way. The fire brick I was told I needed is way too small for the burner, I have had to buy another Fife brick and make it fit along with the one you sold me. Very disappointed. On the plus side it was delivered on time.

Delivery was delayed and it was difficult to make contact with GFA which was really frustrating. The order confirmation email has no means of checking the status of delivery and refers to a red note to track order but it's not evident how to access this.the email address provided in the voice message is incoherent. Took alot of effort on my behalf to establish what the situation was. But product arrived really well.packaged.

Not great sadly. Can’t phone them, keep saying no one to man phones due to illness / staff shortage. Then delivery took ages. Not particularly impressed with the service.
