“unfortunately i become a victim of a very serious assault back in 2023, and the support and guidance i received from criminal injuries helpline was outstanding, not only did the assault affect my self it affected my kids. although no amount of money will ever change what happened to me but having received my compensation i have been able to build a new life else where from where it happened so i haven’t got the constant reminder and to be able to take my family on a holiday to make new and happy memories and to celebrate a new year and new beginnings! an outstanding company! and my advisor was always there when i needed her, outstanding quick response from her, she was amazing”

“I have spoken to them on several occasions throughout the years. In 2020 and 2024. I left my abuser in 2019. My abuser was sentence in October 2024 for Coercive and Controlling behaviour. Yet every time I have spoken to Criminal Injuries, they tell me Corerive and Controlling behaviour isn't covered. It is an umbrella term for everything to do with domestic violence. It's too late now for me now anyway, I was fobbed off when I spoke to them back in 2020.”
