Tasnima Ali is dealing with my case currently. She’s rude, incompetent and lacks empathy. The way she spoke to me on my phone was very triggering . Please hire people with empathy, and care , you’re dealing with people who’ve endured abuse.

I didn't have the best time with Criminal Injuries, and I found this made my traumatic ordeal way worse. I was struggling to get some information I needed, and I was being hounded to get this which made the traumatic event even worse as I was having to scramble to get information every single day, even though I'd already explained the situation I was getting text's and calls even during the work day. I also found communication to be poor, I asked to change my address over three times and they still sent sensitive information to the wrong address, After the very long traumatic ordeal of trying to get this sensitive evidence over for them that the crime affected my mental health, I was unsuccesful in finding a document that was good enough evidence, which is no ones fault, but then I had a call, from a new case worker, asking me to, once again, provide this evidence, even after countless back and forth conversations that this wouldn't be possible. Overall, I found it a quite distressing experience, that could be improved by improved communications and keeping systems up to date. I also find that more often than not it was a very 'by the book' approach, this meant they were just trying to work from files and evidence, which is of course the job, however, there is a need to realise you are working with people who have experienced neglect/crime, and these are real people with real emotions and even trauma, who might need more understanding and slightly more support :)
