“Received a faulty Halo, returned after two days. The faulty product has been received by them. All I would like is my refund as is their statutory duty. I have fulfilled all my obligations. I paid via PayPal, so have filed a case. At this point, Halo as not responded to PayPal either. I'm not the only one. Trustpilot has lots of similar reviews. Wish someone had warned me!”

“I bought a Halo Capsule Original from Amazon in May 2024. It’s now December 2024, and I think it’s absolutely great. I have no idea why on Amazon the average review is only about 3/5 stars (at the time of writing this) - and my window of opportunity for leaving a review there seems to have passed. I live in a 1-bed flat, which is mostly carpeted except the kitchen and bathroom, and I wanted a compact, cordless and BAGGED vacuum cleaner that I could use daily. I had tried using one of those D**** brand bagless ones, but when it comes to emptying the D**** brand, they are very difficult to empty without dust flying everywhere, which is not great if you live in a flat. My Halo Capsule holds its charge very well - I mostly use it on the medium suction setting, and so far have not had to stop and re-charge when doing a quick vacuum of the whole flat. The suction on carpet is VERY good - on a par, or maybe even better than, my SEBO corded pull-along vacuum (which I still keep and use for deep cleaning rooms, reaching high spots on top of furniture etc). On tiles, my Halo Capsule also seems to have good suction, and I use it in place of a broom / dustpan and brush on the kitchen and bathroom floor tiles (I make sure the floor is dry first). As a handheld, I would say that if someone has arthritis in hands they might find slightly heavy, but I find it OK. I am guessing that a more robust motor etc makes it slightly heavier. I prop mine against the wall in a corner to store - it doesn’t stand upright by itself, and eventually I will probably fix the Wall Dock accessory to the wall & use that, once I’ve decided on the best place to keep it. My Halo Capsule was not manufactured in the UK, which is a shame, but I do think the quality is very good. I have heard from a vacuum cleaner mechanic that the quality of D***** brand of vacuums worsened significantly when they started making them outside the UK. So I do hope that the Halo company keeps a sharp eye on the standards of its manufacturing processes, and goes from strength to strength (I don’t want to run out of vacuum cleaner bags!!).”

“This is an expensive piece of Rubbish. Customer service is even worse, do not believe the statement that you will get your money back if your not satisfied. Still waiting for my refund yet return was booked after 2 hours of usage as collected by Halo. Halo accounts sort yourself out. I want my money back.”

“It does a good job of vaccuming. The 2nd battery is very helpful to finish the job. But I have some picky issues. There is nowhere to put 2md battery whilst charging. The wall mount has holders for the tools but it's a jigsaw puzzle. The cleaning head could be wider.”

“What an absolutely awful company to deal with. Product sub standard and flimsy. They offer a 30 day refund guarantee - don't hold ur breath - you will have to fight for it.. 20 days and counting and I’ve chased 3 times now! No where in their terms does it state how long you have to wait for your refund and with every person you speak to on the phone, the timescale changes!! No managers available to speak to as call staff work from home!!”

“This is the second replacement charger I have bought. A bit disappointing as the wires went at the point where you plug the machine into. I only noticed that it had gone due to sparks! Works out quite expensive to replace at £19.99 plus postage. The second one I ordered took over 2 weeks to come! 😩”

“Positive? Good looking design, discounted price often available, light weight, bag = less dust escape when emptying. Negative? Challenging pricing policy - the £ go up and down and buying direct seems to be cheaper than Amazon but slower for delivery, stock/logistics problems = I've waited 4 weeks for a capsule X to be delivered, support staff clearly have limited authority to do anything except ... say they are sorry. So 3 starts not 5. I hope it's reliable as some reviews suggest QC problems with battery life and catches...we'll see.”

“I can't write a review since ordering on 27th April I have been unable to use the machine as the batteries don't charge. I have received a replacement battery but that doesn't charge either. I am awaiting a replacement charger.All I can say is that it is very heavy and not lightweight as advertised.I am very frustrated and disappointed.”

“Great vacuum. Had one for years and recently bought two new ones, one for us and one as a present. Powerful, very light, and manageable. The detachable dustbins are incredibly useful as they keep the dirt away. No need to clean anything. The newer version also includes new efficient filters. I cannot recommend this brand more…they also have an excellent customer service.”

“Halo Capsule X, very light and so easy to use. I chose this cordless vacuum cleaner because it uses a bag and utilises HEPA filter technology. I have previously used bagless vacuum cleaners and often found that they leaked fine particles of dust into the room I was vacuuming or covered me in dust when emptying not so with the Halo Capsule X simply remove the bag dispose replace the bag and on you go, the bags last for ages anyway. Did I mention how powerful the Capsule X is, it has three settings and they all feel strong and pick up almost anything, it's so easy on the stairs and it practically has a gadget for any eventuality, definitely recommend it 😁”
