Never got to try it. They use Dpd who are incompetent and abandoned the delivery somewhere else in the village despite my waiting at home for them. Dpd often do that around here.

Lorne sausage was the worst I have ever had. Full of lumps of gristle and no taste. Being Scottish I have had lorne from lots of butchers & yours was very dissapointing to say the least. Uneatable and ended up in the bin so won't be purchasing that product again, also large fat content. Prime was the wrong description. I have e mailed to complain and await a reply.

Sent. By dpd who made a complete fu k of delivery. Instead of coming north my pies went south. Not arrived yet.

Very disappointing. Chops not even remotely like the picture on-line. Cut from a completely different area of the carcass than advertised. Won’t be back.

I filled out the necessary details on Saturday for a delivery the following Wednesday. Wednesday came with no detail about a delivery so I contacted Campbell’s and eventually they told me the delivery was not on Wednesday but the following day ie Thursday and before 12. Not happy but accepted this. Thursday morning came but no delivery and then told it would be after 12 which meant the meat had been out for delivery for more than 48 hours and would be spoilt. Campbell’s arranged for delivery to be returned to them and agreed to organise a new delivery the following week. I await this delivery. So in summation, if delivered when promised, it has taken 11 days from ordering for my delivery to come 65 miles from the seller to where I live. Would be quicker to walk there and back. Even if the meat is good, it is doubtful that I would order again, or recommend Campbell’s Prime Meat to anyone. Very very poor delivery service. Unfortunately customer service and communication poor too.

The steak was cut far to thin and it was tougher than my trainers.no flavour.. worst steak ever bought.thats if it was. Steak.

As a regular purchaser, very disappointed with this order. Ordered 2 boxes of 8 pies and 8 out of 16 were damaged, looked like they had been deliberately squashed at boxing stage. Lids were loose and all about boxes, these were looking overly cooked and pies themselves had soggy bottoms. Ordered sausages, 1 pack had no label and looked 2 short. So quality control was seriously lacking in this order. Have pictures should you wish to see. Doubtful I shall be ordering again as it's not cheap produce so again very disappointed customer. The outer packaging was intact so it wasn't the courier delivery.

I haven't yet received my pies yet what's happened my first order was delivered to my old address and the new owner said he threw my parcel away I am still waiting for my new order where is it.?

I cannot comment on the product as it didn't arrive as promised. Unfortunately the customer service as DPD were useless and no one at Campbells could help as the phone lines were shut over the weekend. I have since been promised a new order will be despatched and it should arrive nearly a week after we originally requested. When I did finally here from Campbells they seemed to understand the issue, but this was my first interaction with them. I think I will return to my previous supplier Donald Russell.

The scotch pies did not taste like they should, we assumed they would contain mutton which is what they were supposed to.

No problem with Cambells but will not use them again until they get rid of DPD carrier, i am disabled shouted at delivery that i would take a bit longer to get to door they did not follow instructionbs on door and left box in dreadful position. DPD have been problematic before with me and according to TV prog they put iutems in empty houses which they did with me in dustbins which they did with me and take them to sell on CHANGE YOUR DELIVERER

This review is just for the Lorne Sausage. I have just removed the sausage from the freezer in order to throw it away we found it fatty and an unpleasant texture to eat. This wont be on my shopping list again. Other products with this order still to be tried.

I was a little disappointed to receive 2 small haggis instead of the large one I ordered for a burns night. It was to be a centre piece for 20 people. Had I been consulted I would have looked elsewhere, especially as I ordered well in advance!

It hurts my too write this review ordered from campbells in past so over ordered for the Essex macalliisters and Burnsie’s square sausage was tasteless told everyone was dropping it round after I tried it told everyone it didn’t turn up gutted just hope it was 1 off I’ll order again just keep fingers crossed sorry campbells
