“Really nice jumper. Well made. Very warm. I would advise on checking the sizing carefully. I'm a medium and ordered a medium but I feel it's a bit baggy in the body although the arms are the right length. I would get a small in the next one I order to see if fits better.”
“The jumper was lovely, but too large and the returns process is eye wateringly expensive (£25!!) outside of Ireland. I suppose I should have looked it up but it never occurred to me it would cost so much - just be aware!”
“Sorry to rate you down, it has just been a poor experience with the distribution service, the parcel arriving too late and then being lectured at that I should have read the small print about Christmas delivery (I didn’t even want it for Christmas but 18 days to deliver a parcel is just too much). The return cost is insane at 35 € and then the insult that you state there may be customs charges - it is all within the EU freedom of goods regulations!”
“Wonderful selection of colours and styles. The ordering process, including choice of size, was really easy. Delivery (to Germany) was no problem either.”
“Great service, product arrived promptly and was exactly what I was anticipating. And the price was superb!
Bought one of these three decades ago when I was last in Eire and it served me well for two more than 20 years, so it's good to finally have a replacement.”
“Been looking for a good quality Aran jumper with a little roll neck. Absolutely love this one, and the wool knit is so soft, while still being as heavy and sturdy as you want at this price.”
“The person who received this sweater as a Christmas present was extremly satisfied. It fits perfectly, ist warm, color as indicated, looks great.
Thank you!”
“I really wanted to own a real genuine aran woollen jumper. I read up on it and saw Toast talk about it and believed in supporting the heritage of it, so I went for a jumper for my husband and one for myself for Christmas. The £26 tax on top of the purchase was not a nice surpise, but with the first-purchase discount it wasn't an issue. It weight each other out, if you see what I mean. Then I got the jumpers, but the quality especially of my dark blue one with lighter spots was poor; what looked like a badly spun yarn very loosely knitted made the garment look thin. I have to wear something dark underneath it, or it'll show that it's thin. It's too light in weight, so that shows you the "quality;" it's just not there. My husband's one is a little heavier, but I expected the quality of mine to be the same, but both should be better really. I was very disappointed and would've returned them, was it not that I would've lost the £26 and would not be any better for it. I've now worn it twice and notice things quite easily hang in it/attach to it. It's new wool, but not a very high quality with a long fibre therefore, or it wouldn't have done that. So if this is the traditional way to make a typically Irish Aran jumper, then that's my first and last one. Sorry. I'd been really looking forward to owning one, but I feel really badly let down.”
“Offered an Aran throw which is absolutely amazing and it was delivered promptly - even earlier than predicted. Reached out to customer services in relation to the order initially and found them extremely helpful. I will use them again as gifts for others as well as a treat for myself.”
