3 out of 5 stars only due to packing 5ltrs of oil tight against an oil filter element that is flattened on arrival! Who thinks the delivery guys aren't throwing boxes around????

Generally happy with Opie Oils but both metal cans of oil in the package were badly buckled at the bottom. This was also true of the last order I received from Opie Oils. It is not known if this occurred in transit or before dispatch. The cans have not leaked but I am not happy that I have paid full price for oil in badly damaged cans.

The four cans arrived and I was amazed our none were not ruptured as every can was deformed. The packaging was not adequate to protect the cans from courier handling.

Hello, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to see the dented tins that have been delivered but are relieved that they have not leaked. We have invested in many different ways to protect tins in transit, however tins of oil are very easy to crumple and dent during transit. Delivery took longer than expected which I appreciate due to the bank holiday weekend. The receipt listed that there was a stocking issue in the warehouse which could have contributed to the delay. Also, there were free items listed on the receipt (an air freshener and a disposable oil change kit) that weren't included. I understand that the items were complimentary but if they weren't available, shouldn't have been on the receipt.

Thanks for the review. I can see the order was placed after cut-off the day before good Friday. Due to the Easter weekend your order was then dispatched on Tuesday. Unfortunately it looks like Fedex held it at the depot for 24 hours and then delivered it on the 4th. This is within the delivery estimate given of the 9th. As for the missing items, we do apologise for that. We have a dedicated customer service team on hand for any issues with orders. I have asked them to reach out to help.

Opie oils fine but huge problem with FedEx courier. Failed to deliver with 3 attempts even though their depot is only 2mls away Eventually sent using royal mail and received 2 days later

Thanks for the review. We do apologise for the issues with Fedex, the vast majority of our orders are delivered with no problems. Unfortunately sometimes problems are inevitable. I can see our customer service team arranged for a replacement to be sent out once contacted. Once again we do apologise on behalf of Fedex for the inconvenience.

Opie part was great. But I paid extra for Royal Mail Tracked 24 delivery. It arrived after 48 hours - so let down by Royal Mail. Shame.

I ordered and paid for an item on line only to be told it was not available and best guess was within 2 weeks. Your online shop must be kept up to date.

Had a good experience with this website in the past. Quality oil for the best price in the UK. Started ordering filters from here, but already had two picking errors, therefore I got the wrong filter or no filter at all. This wasn’t a huge issue, but I’m not sure I will order car parts in the future from Opie. It’s a shame though.

I paid for next day delivery but it arrived 2 days later. The oil was left at my door even though the delivery company stated that l signed for it. Unacceptable

Thanks for the review. I can see your order was placed after our cut-off for same day dispatch. It was then shipped next day and delivered the day after. I can only apologise for Fedex signing your name upon delivery if that is not the case. This should not have happened.

I’m sure the oil will be fine but FedEx delivered it 2 days late and the box had been sitting in water so the bottom had fallen out. Obviously there was no damage to the product but you might want to keep an eye on your couriers.

No problem with Opie but issues with FedEx. How could they send me a notification that the items would be delivered on a particular day (with a stated time window on that day) when they didn't even collect those items from Opie until 5.45pm on that day. In the end, delivered whin the time period expected but messed about by FedEx's messaging.

Thanks for the review. We do apologise for the confusion, this is a note we add to the order confirmation: If your order is being sent via FedEx, you may receive an email from them with a tracking number. This means that we've booked the delivery with FedEx, but doesn't necessarily mean that we've made it available for them to collect or that it's been picked up by them. The tracking number is valid, but will not show activity within the FedEx network until their first parcel scan. Once again we apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.
