“The search engine can't be told diesel or petrol. You can choose your viscocity, but then have to trawl through everything. I wanted a low sulphur 5-40 for my diesel, and it took forever. If I entered the reg, I just got the all season all places on the planet oil. It did at least know my car, but not the various grades the manufacturer recommends. Just the one size fits all, which didn't accomadate my cars higher mileage needs. I just needed to find some oil myself, and it was hard work without basic search parameters being available.”

Hi, Oils are no longer for petrol or diesel, they are for both. That is because both petrol and diesels can both need lower SAPS oil as some petrol engines have particulate filters fitted. SAPS levels are defined by specification, it's not as simple as full SAPS or low SAPS, there are different levels, for example, ACEA C1 and C4 are low SAPS, ACEA C2, C3 and C5 are mid SAPS (although they are often referred to as low SAPS as they are not full SAPS). If you go to the engine oils specifications on our site, you can select the oils that meet the required spec and pick the viscosity you'd like (if that spec is available in different viscosities (C1, C2 and C4 are a maximum of 5w-30, C3 doesn't have a maximum viscosity requirement). https://www.opieoils.co.uk/c-680-engine-oil-by-manufacturer-specification.aspx Regards Tim

“Purchased some engine oil from Opie Oils. Unbelievably, it was going to arrive the next day. I put it off till the next day. You have to remember that the delivery was FREE!!! Incredible service. Why can’t other retailers treat customers and delivery’s the same way. Other retailers, no matter how big or small should take note.”
