“I bought a product which is faulty, it is very easy to make a purchase but hard to speak to someone to resolve the problem. I have contact the company which the goods was sent from but no reply and the email on the wowcher’’s website is not working.”

“XMAS TREE DESIGN: Jewellery Advent Calendar- Product was terrible. Ad states it should have been £99 and Wowcher trader offering it for £19.99. I wasn’t expecting fine jewellery for that price, however it was even more disappointing than expected! Even the felt calendar was disappointing. The stuck on pieces . . . Well, what was supposed to be stuck on . . . Is extremely poor. Wowcher is ok if you understand the poor product quality you will receive.”

“Cancelled our Manchester hotel booking with only 4 nights noticed and reinstated the same hotel deal without the meal at same price. Apparently this was entirely due to YOUR typo. Tried to use your live chat (because you don't allow people to phone) but the one guy (Craig) just gave stock answers that didn't actually relate to anything I was telling him and the other guy (Quinton) refused to offer any compensation (apparently my fault for accepting a cash refund !) and HE cut or conversation off before I had finished as HE decided he wasn't going to help me further ! Terrible customer service - no wonder you don't want to answer the phone to anyone !!! Just awful service - left no alternative to but the new "deal" as already booked the car park and hardly any other availability in Manchester due to last minute and lots of events on. No way to treat your customers !”

“Purchased a London night bus tour but couldn’t see availability before booking and wanted it the same day. So took a chance and booked but no availability on the day we wanted so asked for a refund. 6 days later still trying to sort it. Live chat no joy, email no joy. Going round in circles. Shocking customer service. Will write a letter now before contacting trading standards. Never again! Avoid at all costs. Not a patch on Groupon.”

“I brought a 2 night stay for my 82 year old parents dinner and breakfast included . When they arrived they was turned away and told the hotel is closing down. It cost me 180 for 2 nights somewhere else as I didn't want them driving another 4 hours home and they paid 60 for meals out . Wowcher want take responsibility and say we used the voucher I'm still a month on fighting for my money back”

“Worst company ever they are scamming people out of money by advertising goods that can't be supplied, stealing peoples money also. I nearly lost over £100 for goods paid for which they had no intention of delivering I had to get a refund from PayPal because even though they did not deliver my goods they refused a refund. This has happened to hundreds of people. So be warned do not use wowcher”

“I found it a terrible site, that lacked vital information when booking a hotel / theatre break. It does not give you any info until you pay, then the information comes from the merchant. In fact once I booked the hotel I was at a loss as to how I book the theatre, I then had someone online to enlighten me but unfortunately failed as I was none the wiser. ( I only realised when I received an email from the merchant that it's booked through the hotel, which wasn't made clear at all.) I then said I'd made a mistake and wanted a refund and was told not to worry the merchant would sort it, only to receive an email stating everything was non refundable. well whoopie. I now have a hotel booked goodness knows how far away from the Theatre, and tickets in goodness knows what seats. Why isn't any of this explained before payment?? My friend is 80yrs old, getting back to the hotel late in the evening when it's miles away doesn't fill me with joy, if the seats are up several flights of stairs then it won't be possible for my friend to get to them. I would have quite happily paid for seats in the stalls, however I wasn't given the option . So far I think buying from Wowcher has been a huge error on my part and has taken the enjoyment of the trip away completely.”

“They are non existent reductions. Either the price is only reduced by a small amount, plus post and packing, where it is not worth the bother. Or it is supposedly reduced by a huge amount but still costing a lot more than the exact same item on ebay or amazon.”

“Why does booking a spa or a trip have to have a expiry date , this should be clearly printed before buying on in terms and conditions , I lost a lot of money now. , I will never buy from wowcher again”

“been trying to contact you about a refund, crazy amount of hoops to get to "chat" via Wattsapp but been waiting now for over 30 minutes, I have not redeemed Wowcher so refund should be simple. It was only bought last 13 hours so well within the time scales. Very poor customer service”
