“After explaining to Tim at Waterside Breaks exactly what I was looking for , he said he would sort out a few options and call me back. This he did within 15 mins. We went through these options, with Tim leading me to pictures on the internet of the property locations and explaining the pros and cons of each. A booking was made from this friendly and professional phone call.”

“Did not realise this is only introduction site, thus had to wait for call from team to complete reservation, however call within 2 hours so no real issue. How to operate site not totally clear at start but eventually worked it our, information provided given in clear manner, easy to understand, however would ask for more clarification on wifi availability on all locations - have to presume no indication means no wifi. Then to find had to liaise direct with owners once email received could have led to delay in confirmation as email took 3 hrs to arrive and did not catch evening post for sending off deposit.”

“Arrive at destination... First dust off all the cobwebs, shoo the spiders. Wash the dishes as clean the shelves. Remove the old dog chew and tissues from under the sofa cushion. Air out the smelly bath mat. Clean the windows. Now enjoy the view and watch the big black labrador have a poo in our back garden area on two occassions. Much to our own dogs disgust. Great place to stay had the above not been an issue on arrival, despite the list of rules that explain the above is to be done before leaving. We have to say the surrounding area was superb, great walks very relaxing. Be prepared to start a war with the midges.”

“Disappointed that I couldn't book online. When I did book by phone I said that I wanted to pay for the whole holiday but have since found that only a deposit seems to have been taken. Good response to my original booking request with a phone call and email the following day. When I called back the lady was very friendly and helpful.”

“Although the desciption of the lodge and surroundings were adequate the restrictions for our dog were not highlighted or specified which would have influenced our decision not to book the lodge and we now will lose our deposit due to the specific restrictions for our dog in this rural location. You should mention these restrictions in your advert then there would be no misrepresentation of this lodge and location as regards to the amount of rules regarding pets.”

Good Morning Linda - Thank you for your review and we are sorry that the local pet rules are not suitable for you.The owners at Lake Pochard have changed their pet rules a little to ensure pet are kept on their leads around the lodges. This is due to their the number of ducks and geese being about with many being bothered and chased into the water. There are so many lovely dog walks and areas within yards of the lodges and a fabulous network of trails and paths to follow through the lakes for all to enjoy in the Cotswold Water Park region (no leads required) and these lodges are so popular with pet owners for these reasons. Pets are generally required to be kept on leads in most locations around lodges and holiday homes. Best Regards - All at Waterside Breaks

“The only thing I can really say is absolutely fantastic. We found an amazing place but thought we had left it to late as we enquired out of hrs. Within 20 minutes I recieved a call and all was booked. First class service, thank you.”

“Easy to book. Good site. Holiday cottage view was absolutely phenominal. Number 22. Swans passing our window every night not to mention the boats sailing by. Not to forget the heron who visited our French doors every night for something to eat. My husband even bought a tin of pilchards for it as they only eat fish and meat. The view was so spectacular we almost forgotten we had the television on and missed some of our programme. Spot on. Loved the cottage too and locality but we did have a couple of hiccups being the heating wasn't Good as the electric heater on the wall was hopeless and the wall fire didn't work although the owners came to have a look at it. Fortunately we only felt the cold for three nights of our seven night stay and we just put up with it. The view made up for it I'm pleased to say. The bed was springy hurting my back and my husband said the same and he never complains. However, there were two more twin beds in our cottage and we slept separately (first time in 45 years) and achieved a better nights sleep thankfully. We hired a boat for the day and had a great day. All in all our holiday was lovely despite the cottage hiccups which I'm sure will be put right. The cottage had all the equipment needed if you wanted to do any cooking. All electric cooking facilities. I would recommend these cottages and Wroxham definitely but I would like to return if the heating and mAtress were to be replaced. So thank you for a lovely holiday.
