“Everything described was right, great place for fishing, nice short walk to restaurant, booked again for 2026”

“Stayed in swift lodge which was brilliant with fabulous views of the lake. I was worried it might be cold in the lodge but it was really warm, in fact we turned down the thermostat. Would love to stay again”

“Booking on line was an utter shambles , I tried twice to book on line and this did not work . I rang the company and it was sorted by the very nice lady immediately 👍👍👍”

“Lovely and clean lodge on our arrival, with a welcome package for refreshments which was very thoughtful. We loved the fact that it has a view onto the water and it was spacious. The staff was very professional and courteous, responding to our requests very promptly. We would return to the same lodge for our next holiday on the broads. Just a few drawbacks on the lodge itself: 1) Water pressure was weak hence the showers took an age to have daily. The house could do with a better water pump for the showers. 2) Toilet tissues: please provide 3-ply rolls as it is false economy to have 1-ply toilet paper rolls as people would just use 3 times as much! 3) Cooking appliances: we couldn't read the symbols on the oven control dials as they were mostly faded. Maybe it's time for a replacement or at least please provide the appliance manual so guests would see which is which.”

“Fishermans Lodge, Stretton Sugwas, Herefordshire - Quite frankly is dirty and in a very poor state of repair and the owners seemingly, could not care less - would not recommend this property to anyone. On arrival, we had to wash most of the kitchenware, few photo's attached, as it was quite frankly disgusting. There was a thick layer of dust on the stereo, clumps of hair floating in the hot tub, the plastic boarded patio area was so unlevel it was unsafe to walk on, and when my husband fell on his way to car when we left 3 days early, the owners intimation was that we were lying, and they would check their video footage! Sadly due to such a terrible experience, we would not use Waterside Breaks again, as this property was flagged up to all these faults on Trip advisor a year ago, seemingly nothing has changed since then tho - only wish I had seen this before we went!!”

“I am a retired coach operator taking up to 500 passengers a week on European and uk Holidays. I recently booked a holiday with waterways Holidays after searching the Internet doing my head in not being able to speak to anyone on the phone i made one call extremely helpful pleasant staff they got the property i wanted at a very competitive price bring back the old days its not worth spoiling a family holiday especially what we have just been through last two years.”

“I had a good weekend escape at SpringWood Fishery Lodge, the place is lovely and I would recommend it. One of the downsides was that the lodge hadn't been properly checked before our arrival, as there was an opened bottle of Actimel in the freezer. We even had an unwanted guest🐀🐁🐭🐹 at the property who kept us company while we were watching movies, kept us awake at night by trying to get into our bags hoping to come home with us. He also left several little gifts for us (aka droppings💩💩💩💩💩) in the kitchen units and on the sofa.🐀🐁🐭🐀🐁🐭🐀🐁🐭🐀🐁🐭🐀🐁🐭🐀🐁🐭🐀🐁🐭🐀🐁🐭🐀🐁🐭🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹🐹🐨”
