I purchased the Aqua skim 40 surface skimmer and installed it in a section of the pond about two foot deep. I had read the reviews and the only downfall that someone had noted was that it had caught a fish in the top, I questioned this with the water garden team who confirmed they had never experienced this. It was working well but I had to install a small sponge filter into the bottom of the bucket as the holes are far to big and it was sucking deris into the pump and blocking it up. After three days I noticed a fish about 120cm stuck in the top, it survived but was damaged, not sure how it got in there but it was very stressed. I had enough of the constant cleaning of the pump and now a caught fish, I have removed the skimmer and clean the surface with a fine mesh net...would not recomend.

Hi Martin, I'm sorry to hear of your experience with the satellite skimmer. OASE have produced this product for over 20 years and this is the 1st occasion we have experienced with a fish being caught in the skimmer basket. The skimmer basket holes are matched to the same hole sizes designed into the AquaMax Eco Premium pump strainer so again, I am suprised this is causing pump blockages, particulary with such frequency. I will raise the issue with OASE UK and once again, our apologies for any distruption or stress caused by this product. Best Regards - Andy @ Water Garden Ltd.

Disappointed. The motor doesn't fit the reservoir and we are having a lot of difficulty in establishing a regular flow of water meaning it isn't always landing on the splash mat. The consequence is that the reservoir is running out of water within about 10 minutes.

Really good advice on the parts needed to repair my Biotec filter but disappointed when they arrived without screws to assemble and with a European plug, given that the order came to over £300 would have hoped for better, still its down to the people who pack I guess, not the technical team.

Filter fittings & flow regulator not yet in use. Gloves disappointing. Not water tight & too flimsy.

It hasn't been installed yet, just clearing the pond of algae and plant growth. I cant rate the fountain so have chosen 3 stars so I can submit the response.

I cancelled my order as it was made in error. However, Water Gardens treated my issues in a very professional manner

Heron still landing flashing lights and laser doesn’t seem to bother him The dog noise is about the best but as to go through 3 sequences to get to that By that time 3 fish have gone I’ve ended up having to put the net back on pool

The advice and help was very good and helpful. However, you sent the pipes and nothing to connect them or advice on how to sort it. That knocks the review down I'm afraid

I was delighted that the water pump I ordered came so quickly but being an O.A.P. was very disappointed that it came without a plug!

Hi Valerie, No electrical pond equipment should be supplied with plugs fitted. Pumps, UVs, Filters etc should be hard-wired into an earth leakage circuit breaker whereas a moulded plug might mislead the consumer into fitting the device onto a standard socket on the ring main, which is potentially very dangerous. If in any doubt, ALWAYS consult a qualified electrician. Many Thanks, Andy @ Water Garden Ltd.

Arrived very quickly but was a replacement for one that lasted for about 18 months.

So far so good, seems like a decent product. I've only given 3 stars though as it didn't come with a plug! I didn't think that was legal any more.

Interestingly, the reverse is true! No electrical pond equipment should be supplied with plugs fitted. It's a pity we received a 3 star review for doing the right thing (!) but hopefully this explanation will help others. Many Thanks, Andy @ Water Garden Ltd.

I have given the advise and pump only an acceptable rating. The reason being I am using it in a protected dry situation and whilst it works fine there are a number of wasted component parts designed for under water use only including the emphasis of having an "eco" mode which I was falsely advised and given a calculated how much I would save in running costs and pay for it self in 5 years, even though I gave the correct info being used in a dry setup in conjunction with a Proficlear Premium Compact EGC, and was recommended over the Aquamax Dry pump, which apparently are being phased out with no "eco" mode. Also the useless tiny rubber feet just fall off if touched even though fitted correctly.

Hi Richard. The purchased AquaMax Eco Premium 20000 pump is considerably cheaper to run than the (now discontinued) AquaMax Dry 16000, saving around 80 watts yet providing 4000L/Hour more flow than the AquaMax Dry pump. The Premium pump can be run submersed or dry installed but will still provide the same power savings in either installation method. As the pump can be used in several different ways, OASE supply a number of fittings to allow the installer to configure this how they wish. So, there may be a few parts not used. With regards to the rubber feet, we have not come across this issue before so I shall raise this with OASE. Best Regards, Andy @ Water Garden Ltd.
