“Hi! My name is Malaika, and this was my 2nd time volunteering with Volunteering soloutions. I chose the children’s teaching program placed in Unawatuna, Sri Lanka. I was there for a week, and I must say it was the best time! The program itself was amazing. The children are so gifted and bright and always so eager to learn. Helping them with their work was so rewarding and I had so much of fun playing various games with them, singing together and of course learning. Transport, meals and everything in between was very well organised and exceeded my expectations. Our transport was always on time and was very efficient. The coordinators and staff did a great job at always keeping us informed on any changes in plans and we’re always there for any assistance needed. The program also offered fun activities during free time such as, a bicycle tour, city tour and rooftop yoga. All these activities as well were very well organized and a nice addition to the overall experience. We also had weekly evaluation meetings which I thought was very beneficial and helpful. All in all, this is my second time around having had a great experience with volunteering soloutions. They have always been very helpful and quick to assist me with any questions or doubts I may have had and I couldn’t recommend them enough! Especially for solo travellers, everything is looked after and it’ll be a safe and unforgettable trip!”

“We were very happy with the organization, accomodation and safety. We did not have any problem, and even if there was any issue, our contact person and host were helpful. The experience of volunteering in orphanage was incredible, we were really touched by the love of the kids and those memories and feelings will last our lifetime. We want to thank the VolSol team for helping us so much during the whole process, for all the suggestions and and always helping in time. “Everything was fine, and I had the most amazing time! I wish communication with Volunteering Solutions were better; there was some misinformation or delay in the answers. It actually was a topic between some volunteers in Tanzania. I only felt safer when I talked to a former volunteer who went to the same program as me. Besides that, the people who hosted me in Arusha were the best, always very sweet and welcoming. I'd love to go back! If anyone would like help before going there on a medical program, I'd be happy to talk to you.”

“Really great experience for my first time in Sri Lanka. AASHA house staff was exceptional and generally had very good communication. I participated in a medical volunteering program. The only thing I wish to be improved is organization of hospital assignments so that every person in the program has equal exposure and engagement at the hospital.”

“The India 2 weeks special program was an incredible experience! All was well organized, the accommodation is really nice and cleaned. The person that lived with us is an incredible chef, guide, driver and special person! He was always at disposition in case of necessity. The organization gave us all the information to be able to reach and perform the activities at the school with children and they are always at disposition in case of any doubts. They also organized for us a beautiful weekend in Jaipur and Agra. I definitely recommend this experience.”

“We finished our program few weeks ago and we really enjoy It! The coordinators are really kind and available. We had fun with children in the morning and we like discover and learn a bit about the culture here. At the beginning we didn't know anything about the plans of the week, and we were a bit disorientated, but everithing was fine and there was a good organization. “I had a good time at AASHA House in Sri Lanka participating in medical volunteering. I loved the exposure I got to understanding diverse cases and learning how different international health care systems determine care that is provided to different patients. I was in the emergency treatment center and thought it could be organized a little better but in general I learned a lot from the doctors there. Overall, the house experience was great as well.”

“The India 2 Week Special program was a unique and unforgettable experience. Not only were we able to visit the main landmarks in the Golden Triangle (Delhi, Agra and Jaipur) and immerse ourselves in the local culture, but we were also able to give back to the community through teaching children in slum areas of Delhi.
