VS offered all the necessary support prior the departure, including what to pack, vaccinations to take, language spoken in the country… everything you need to know before going to a foreign country for volunteering and this was important to make us feel safe and enjoy the experience.

Booking through Volunteering Solutions was smooth, reliable, and stress-free. The experience on the ground was unforgettable: I loved teaching 5th-grade students, mentoring teenagers with computers, and playing soccer or reading with the kids at the orphanage. The volunteer hostel has a great social vibe, the food is good, and the free city tour on day one was perfect for settling in. Highly recommended!

I spent five weeks as a volunteer in a charity shop in Ireland. My work consisted of providing sales assistance to customers, tidying the shop, sorting the donations and cleaning them for display. I had a very welcoming team at the shop who helped me whenever I had questions and trusted me with many different tasks. We always had fun at work! I stayed in a host family that immediately made me feel at home, they included me in their activities and made sure I got the most out of my stay in Ireland. Thanks to the team in Ireland, I met other volunteers who quickly became my friends and explored the country with me. The orientation days were a great welcome to Ireland and helped me ease my fears and look forward to my stay. Overall I had a great time and would recommend the program!

I really had the best time of my life in Ireland. Being a volunteer in a charity Shop taught me so much about myself and helped me to grow as a person. I received so much love and thankfulness from my co-workers and the costumers, so that even on rather stressful days, I could leave work with a big smile on my face. Plus, Ireland absolutely became the home of my heart - it only took me a few seconds to feel at home when I took my first steps on Irish soil and I could not have asked for a better country or a better organization. I can say from the bottom of my heart that it was the right decision to become a volunteer in Ireland. I arrived in the country without any work experience and without having visited Ireland before and I left with so many beautiful memories and lots of great experiences!

The experience at the Elephant Camp is fun and unique, the camp people are great to be with and all, but it all feels like a paid vacation. The camp don’t really need you, it needs your money to sustain the elephant (good conditions, but not great). It’s not volunteering, at least not how volunteering is almost always described.

Hi Ettore, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad you enjoyed your time with the camp team and found the experience unique. One of the key points we discuss during our orientation is that our volunteer programs are intentionally designed so that the host organizations do not depend on volunteers for their day-to-day operations. Whether it's the elephant sanctuary, local schools, or the single mothers' home, these organizations are able to operate independently with their permanent staff. This approach ensures that the welfare of the elephants and the continuity of the projects are never reliant on a rotating group of short-term volunteers. Instead, volunteers are there to contribute through their time, enthusiasm, and unique abilities while learning about the important work being carried out by the local team. Participant fees also help support the long-term sustainability of the project, including elephant care, food, veterinary treatment, and facility maintenance. Thank you again for sharing your perspective. Warm regards, Team Volunteering Solutions

Volunteering in the childcare program in Nairobi was an incredible experience, full of joy, love and growth. I started the program hoping to give something back but I ended up receiving so much more from the children and the people than I could ever provide. The vibrant energy was contagious, and overall this experience left me with a profound sense of gratitude. The local team was extremely supportive and kind.

Was a good 2 weeks away in Sri Lanka. I feel like the activities weren’t very challenging and quite easy. I didn’t learn very much about the conservation side either but all in all was a good experience and Acomidation and travel was superb.

South Devon College took a group of 25 students on a conservation volunteering programme for two weeks to Sri Lanka. For many of our students it was the first time they had experienced anything like this. The communication and organisation of this trip was second to none. Our hosts in Sri Lanka made us welcome from day one with nothing being too much trouble for them. The food, accommodation, support and programmed activities were all fantastic and provided many opportunities for personal growth and learning for our students. We were also provided and supported with some rewarding cultural and environmental experiences around the programmed activities. We are very grateful to all at Volunteering solutions for an awesome trip.

Just wanted to thank those at Volunteering Solutions for helping arrange a very meaningful voluteer program in Rabat, Morocco. The host family was awesome (a great cook) and the opportunity to interact and teach English to teens and medical students was something I won't soon forget. Thank you!

Volunteering is a fantastic way for people who want to experience the real culture of a foreign country. Volunteering is also brilliant for solo travellers who want to go overseas. I volunteered in Morocco teaching English you have to have an open mind as their classes and content are so different. Prepare to feel a bit lonely and bewildered as you settle in with host families and their routines. In Morocco most things work on Morocco time but it’s easy to get into the swing of things. The support network in Morocco was good. I am currently looking at volunteering again. It is a wonderful experience to meet like minded people and explore another country with the safety net of people to assist you

Our group has just wrapped up an amazing two-week volunteering trip in Hanoi, Vietnam, organised through Volunteering Solutions. Prior to departure Sahil answered all our enquiries promptly, making it a smooth experience. We spent our time at the Friendship Village supporting children and adults affected by Agent Orange, and it’s honestly been an unforgettable experience. We learned so much about Vietnamese history and culture, and both students and staff really loved every moment spent at the centre. We got involved in all sorts of activities, including special education classes, physical movement sessions, crafts, and outdoor games. Even in such a short time, we made some lovely connections and it was genuinely hard to say goodbye. Outside of volunteering, we had time to explore Hanoi in the evenings, which was a big bonus. Volunteering for Peace Vietnam also hosted meals and shared information about Vietnamese culture, which made the experience even more special. We even managed to fit in trips to Ninh Binh and Ha Long Bay at the weekends, both of which were absolutely incredible! The support and care from Volunteering for Peace Vietnam really went above and beyond. We’d definitely recommend this experience to anyone thinking about volunteering abroad.

Volunteering in Morocco with Volunteering Solutions was honestly such a memorable experience. The NGO placement was really interesting and I learned a lot while being there. Everyone I met — both locals and other volunteers — was super friendly which made it even better. I also loved just exploring Rabat, getting lost in the streets and trying different food. It’s definitely an experience I’ll always remember and I’m really glad I went.

I joined the 2 Weeks Special in Peru with Volunteering Solutions, and it was a great experience. The local team was very friendly and helpful, and everything was well organized from the start. It was the perfect mix of volunteering and exploring Peru. I also had the chance to visit Machu Picchu and spend time in Cusco, which made the trip even more special. Overall, it was a short but really meaningful experience and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to volunteer and travel at the same time.
