Volunteering in Morocco with Volunteering Solutions was honestly such a memorable experience. The NGO placement was really interesting and I learned a lot while being there. Everyone I met — both locals and other volunteers — was super friendly which made it even better. I also loved just exploring Rabat, getting lost in the streets and trying different food. It’s definitely an experience I’ll always remember and I’m really glad I went.

I joined the 2 Weeks Special in Peru with Volunteering Solutions, and it was a great experience. The local team was very friendly and helpful, and everything was well organized from the start. It was the perfect mix of volunteering and exploring Peru. I also had the chance to visit Machu Picchu and spend time in Cusco, which made the trip even more special. Overall, it was a short but really meaningful experience and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking to volunteer and travel at the same time.

Had a lovely time in Arusha volunteering in the nursery school placement. Support and care from the local team went beyond my expectations. I also organised a weekend safari trip which was really worth it ! Would definitely recommend coming to Tanzania and volunteering with children.

I did the wildlife volunteering program in South Africa and it was a great experience. Being able to see such beautiful animals in their natural habitat was truly amazing. Everyone at the reserve was very accommodating and helpful. I will definitely recommend it.

We had an amazing experience with Volunteering Solutions! We can’t say enough about the VolSol team. We opted for the orientation week the first week we were there. Shankar, both the driver (traffic is insane! “Why the honking?!”) and volunteering coordinator, showed us around, was so helpful in every way, and we parted as friends. Sahil, the director, answered many questions before we arrived and competently takes care of all the behind-the-scenes operations. We learned about the culture, language, arranged marriages, joint family system, and Bollywood from wise Rajiv. We worked with the children in the slums of Delhi. Children in that area go to school either in the morning or the afternoon. VolSol works with a center that provides instructional childcare during the times the children are not in school. Kids are kids the world over and love to play, laugh and learn. Even with the challenges of living in and navigating the slums, they seem content, doing the best they can with what they have. The staff at the center are caring and supportive of the children and welcome volunteers! Everyone should step out of their comfort zone and serve in Delhi. It is unforgettable!

My experience in Kathmandu was incredible. Nepal is such a different country compared to Italy, and I had to adapt to their culture as quickly as possible. I loved my host, the teacher, and above all, the children. This was my second opportunity with VS, and I would like to thank you very much for everything.

I spent 2 weeks Ghana and it was such an inspiring experience. Working closely with the girls in Tamale from the local village was absolutely amazing! I spent 3 weeks on the Nepal Teaching Program and honestly had a great time. The accommodation in Bafal was comfortable and felt like home, and the food was really good throughout my stay. Sarmila was amazing, always around, super supportive, and made sure everything was taken care of. The whole experience was really rewarding, and I’d definitely recommend it to anyone thinking about teaching in Nepal.

I had an amazing time in Cusco volunteering in the Escuela Católica del Pacifico. I had a wonderful relationship with the English teacher and it was such a rewarding experience. The students were so sweet and we had such a good time using our English. In addition to having a wonderful time teaching, I had an amazing family who treated me like one of their own. My mother was an amazing cook! I will always have a second family in Cusco. I also had time to visit many of the historic areas, two fun zoos/animal sanctuaries, Machu Picchu and more. It was amazing!

Volunteering Solutions facilitated a meeting before our 1-week trip to Cusco of 3 moms & 17 yo sons, where we specified we wanted a private Machu Picchu tour. Jenny is the site coordinator and made herself available to meet virtually, where she answered dozens of questions. Jenny picked us up from the airport & took us to the host family, Elizabeth & Carla, who were very hospitable. We felt we made an impact working with these kids. Jenny accompanied us on our trip to Machu Picchu & it was a neat personal touch with breathtaking views! The host bedroom was clear, but cold showers in a shared bathroom. Peru doesn’t allow TP in the toilet, which was the biggest adjustment.

Great experience volunteering at San Sebastian clinic in Cusco, Peru. Being a pre medical student, I was looking for an immersive medical shadowing experience in Peru. Volunteering Solutions organized a suitable medical placement for me. Wonderful support from Raquel and Jenny. My host family was lovely too and I really got to improve my Spanish skills.

I did volunteering with my bestfriend there for 5 weeks (child care) and it was such a nice experience. We didn‘t know that we would stay in the new accommodation (because the old camp had to get renovated) (it was very new and pretty, but without aircondition) The staff is very nice! I have to say that Tianyar is a very small village, so you can‘t do anything in the afternoon and I got often bored. The other thing is that the working time is 2 hours per day, so we got often bored in the afternoon, bc we didn‘t do anything instead of chilling at the pool or relaxing.. If you like calm places and like to work only a bit than this is perfect for you! :)

Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us 😊 We’re really glad to hear that you and your best friend enjoyed your 5 weeks in the childcare program and that you found the staff welcoming and supportive. We appreciate your understanding regarding the accommodation change due to renovations. We’re happy to know you found the new accommodation modern and comfortable, and we’ll certainly take your feedback about air conditioning into account for future improvements. You’re absolutely right that Tianyar is a very small and quiet village. The program is designed for participants who are looking for a calm, rural environment and a slower pace of life, with time to relax, reflect, and unwind. Likewise, the shorter daily working hours are intended to ensure ethical volunteering practices and avoid overwhelming the local projects. Thank you for highlighting that this program is best suited for those who enjoy peaceful surroundings and lighter work schedules — that insight will be very helpful for future volunteers when choosing the right program for themselves. We truly appreciate your honest feedback and are delighted that overall you had a positive and memorable experience. We hope to welcome you again on another program in the future! Thanks Team Volunteering Solutions

I spent three incredible weeks volunteering in India, starting with one week in Delhi on the street children programme. That week was short but super impactful. The kids were full of energy, warmth, and big smiles, and spending time with them honestly made every day feel special. A massive shoutout to Shankar, who was amazing throughout — always supportive, friendly, and making sure everyone felt comfortable and confident. You could really see how much he cares about the children and the project. The food was also a highlight — tasty, comforting, and something I genuinely looked forward to every day. Everything felt safe, well organised, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. After Delhi, I spent two weeks in Jaipur on the teaching programme, and it was just as rewarding in a different way. The children were curious, enthusiastic, and so eager to learn, which made teaching really fun and meaningful. The organisation running the project was great — well structured, supportive, and always there to help, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. It truly felt like the work we were doing mattered. Overall, volunteering in both Delhi and Jaipur was an unforgettable experience that gave me new perspectives, real connections, and memories I’ll carry with me forever. I’d 100% recommend it to anyone thinking about volunteering in India.

Dears, I'm really sorry that I have to write about the poor experience that I had with my volunteering in Cambodia. I want to highlight that this doesn't concern the school itself (I choose the teaching English program in Cambodia), but I'm referring to the organization and the project coordinator. She did not support us (I spoke also with my room mates, and they agree with this point of view). For my specific situation, she did not even know where the school where, what was my schedule time or the age range of my classes. The first week I lost 3 full days of project because of National holidays, and that's okay, but after the holidays when my project should have started, school was still closed and she didn't know anything about it, causing me to lose one full week of project, which I had already paid for. Support from her side was zero, and, moreover, her behaviour was unprofessional all the time: she asked the volunteers for presents, asked for night out making differences between the volunteers (asking some to go out, some not). I want to underline once more that this does not concern the school where I had my volunteering project, which was perfect, but I highly recommend taking further checks for the organization that manages the project because people who volunteers is worth more than this treatment.

Dear Eleonora, Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We’re truly sorry to hear about the issues you faced with the project coordination and communication, and we understand how frustrating this must have been, especially given the impact on your schedule and learning. We take your feedback seriously. We’ll review the coordination process and ensure our team has clearer scheduling information, better knowledge of partner schools, and consistent support for volunteers. We also acknowledge your note about the behavior you described, and we will address this with the appropriate team to prevent a recurrence. On a positive note, we are happy to know that you enjoyed working at the project you were assigned to. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. We’re committed to improving and to providing a more reliable experience for future volunteers. Kind regards, Team Volunteering Solutions
