“I used VolSol to organise a 2-week trip to Thailand for a group of 14. The group was very diverse as the ages ranged from 19 to 60 plus so not a typical group. From start to finish they have been absolutely amazing. Communication with the company is brilliant. Sahil responded to any questions promptly. I initially picked one of the 2 weeks specials but then VolSol tailored it to suit our needs. I have organised group trips before, but I was blown away by how meticulously planned this one was. We spent 5 days at Hug elephant sanctuary and every day we were kept busy with activities. All activities were delivered by the locals which made it extra special. Food was included on many of the days and again I cannot fault it. There was always plenty, it was always freshly prepared, and they catered for any dietary requirements. Bottled water was on hand all the time. The facilities were more than adequate, and the camp was very clean and well maintained. Staff were lovely and went out of their way to ensure we were looked after. I loved my time here. I had asked if we could visit a local school as many of us work in education. We paid a little extra for this, but the money was used to buy sports kits and water for the students, which we then got to present to the students on arrival. I have organised trips before where this money would have just gone into the company’s pocket, so it was lovely to see it being used in such a positive way. We crammed so much into the 2 weeks, and we got to try things that we wouldn’t typically have done had we not gone with VolSol such as an E-Scooter tour of Bangkok, rafting and kayaking. Again, all very well organised and all needs catered for. Our guide Fighter only added to our experience. He is so knowledgeable about everything. On our free days we told him what we would like to do and within a few hours he had sorted it. He was very attentive and always made sure everyone was ok. Every evening, we were given the information for the following day, so we always woke up knowing what the day looked like. He literally never stopped working as he even accompanied us in the evenings when he didn’t have to. He took us to some beautiful restaurants which we would never have known about without him. I cannot fault VolSol and I would definitely recommend them. I hope if you book onto this trip you are lucky enough to get Fighter as a guide as he is truly perfect for the job. “It was my first time in Thailand and 'Fighter' our guide helped us navigate our way around, setting up additional trips and finding restaurants for us to try. All we had to do was turn up and be whisked away, no stress. I really enjoyed my time at the elephant sanctuary and have also enjoyed our adventures in Krabi.”

“This is my 4th trip volunteering abroad and my first with volunteering solutions - I wouldn’t use any company other than volunteering solutions again! The whole trip has been outstanding, tailored to what we wanted and very well organised. The communication in England and Thailand has always been impeccable despite time differences too - very impressed! Our guide ‘Fighter’ went above and beyond in all aspects of our trip. Even in evenings, he helped organise bus/restaurants etc. He was caring, understanding and excellent at organising our big group. We wouldn’t have experienced the amazing things we did without him and couldn’t thank him enough! I would 100% recommend anyone to use volunteering solutions as I cannot fault the trip and hope anyone travelling to Thailand is lucky to get the guide ‘Fighter’.”

“I love that Volunteering Solutions partners with local non-profits, which makes it much easier to find an experience that meets your needs. The VS team was responsive and helpful throughout, answering our questions quickly and assisting with arrangements when they could. We were placed with the Karibu Foundation in Arusha, and the staff there were equally available and supportive. The accommodations were warm and friendly and interacting with other volunteers from around the world was another highlight. As with any volunteer experience, it is hard to know who benefits more, but we all came away from our experience feeling enriched, but also feeling like we were able to contribute in a small way. I would highly recommend using Volunteer Solutions to anyone seeking an experience abroad.”

“As a company, Volunteering Solutions made the booking and organisational process very straightforward and were always quick to reply to any questions I had. Upon arriving in the country that my program was based, they were also keen to stay in touch and followed up with emails to check in on my experience during my first few weeks. My only criticism lies within the programme itself - I volunteered as a pre-nursing student and found that in the hospital I worked in, there was very limited opportunities to learn - largely due to either language barriers (as very rarely did nurses or patients speak any English) or due to an unwillingness to teach. This was particularly frustrating, as even when asking the nursing staff if there was anything I could observe or help with, they would simply say ‘no’ and return to the task at hand. Therefore, I would suggest that the company and their partners in the program’s country are more in-touch and can collaborate to ensure that volunteers are getting the best working experience possible.”

“It was a good service, nice people and usually responds within a couple of hours. The project was interesting, although the impact one can have is minimal. The staff in Cusco was also very attentive, when I got sick I got accompanied to the hospital.”

“This experience has been absolutely incredible. From the second i got here, everybody has been incredibly welcoming. The food was solid, with plenty of opportunities to try the different local foods. The Hostel is extremely comfortable and feels like a true home, with everybody treating each other with the utmost respect. The construction project i worked on was incredibly well managed, and i was able to contribute without having any prior construction knowledge. On the weekend i was able to experience a few of the local wonders which were incredible. All around this experience has been amazing and helped make me a more well rounded individual, with all new perspectives on the world.”

“I’ve choosen Volunteering Solutions for doing Volunteering in Tanzania (arusha) and I’m glad I’ve found them. I’m doing teaching programme for 4 weeks and everything is well organized. We attend the orphanage in the morning, helping kids with homework,playing and taking care of them. It’s a great experiencie how kids love us so much. Thanks for everything Volunteering solutions.
