“My optician recommended me to see you as I needed cataract surgery because I was about to lose my driving licence. The team work I experienced was extremally good from start to finish, every stage was explained and literature given at all stages, I was given different options to suit my needs so it would fit into my requirements best. The cost seemed high but when Care home costs where taken into consideration (only 6 weeks) it was very viable. I am now enjoying very clear 3D vision and when driving I can look down at dashboard and back without glasses. Many thanks.”

“Absolutely faultless. I felt that every member of staff I met was invested in me, personally. The level of care was second to none. Everyone made sure I was comfortable and that all of my questions were answered fully. I was as relaxed as it is possible to be throughout the procedures. The outcome of my cataract operations has exceeded my expectations.”

“I had cataracts removed in both eyes in July ‘23 by Jonathan Ross in the Aberdeen facility! 14 months later my eyesight has deteriorated and on visiting my Optician, Fraser Optical who recommended Vision Scotland, initially, I was told that I now needed Laser treatment to remove new cataracts which have developed over my new lenses at a treatment cost of &1100, I sent an email to Aberdeen who said they would call me back at 12.30 which the never did, so I called them at 13.36 and they confirmed that I would need to pay £11.00 to have the Laser treatment done! At no time during my initial consultation or on their brochure does it say tha I might need further treatment! Needless to say I am absolutely furious with the thought I having to dig into my sparse savings to have this done’ George Edwards”

The operation went quickly and smoothly resulting in complete success. Post op medication and follow up completed to my satisfaction. I would highly recommend Vision Scotland.”

“Excellent treatment throughout. All staff very professional, friendly and efficient. Gave plenty opportunity to ask questions. The 24hour phone line, although not needed did give confidence. Follow up phone calls greatly appreciated.”

“I had a very positive experience with cataract procedure at Vision Scotland. Everyone I dealt with was caring and professional and explained their part of the procedure and what would happen next. I experienced no pain and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone considering a cataract procedure.”

“It is now six months since having the cataracts removed from both eyes. I would like to say a big thank you to Mr Stephen Burgess and the splendid team at Vision Scotland Edinburgh. On my visits they did everything to make feel relaxed, also explaining to me all that was happening, giving me the knowledge I was in good hands. Members of the team phoned me at home during the weeks following the procedures to see how I was getting on. I am very happy that I chose Vision Scotland as the result has been all I could ask for.”

“Excellent service from start to finish. First rate staff from optometrist and consultant through to nursing and reception staff. The clinic was modern and the environment was calming. The outcome of my cataract procedure was beyond all expectations. Clearest vision in over 50 years and a return to vivid colours. The procedure was painless, quick , and the follow up care ensured the minimum of anxiety.”

“Every single person you meet in Vision Scotland Ratho is happy, helpful, professional, efficient and look happy to be there. A stark difference to most workplaces in the country today. “I was very impressed with the facilities at Vision Scotland. the waiting area and all the equipment were of a very high standard. The staff were welcoming and caring. I felt I was getting excellent treatment. The procedure on two eyes was very successful and I now have good vision without glasses except for reading. I did not like the face masks used in the op as they stuck to my skin and I now feel I have a few more wrinkles than I had before. More skin care advice would be appreciated. Otherwise five stars.”

“Mr Jonathan Ross Ophthalmic Surgeon, Ratho Park, including staff. I have recently had cataract removal and lens replacements. I can honestly say that the experience and the care I received was amazing. Mr Ross was recommended by my optician as the best and I was not disappointed. He is a lovely man who inspires confidence and allays any fears or concerns. He keeps you well informed throughout the process. Plenty of time to raise any concerns you may have. He is thorough, efficient and informative. The op.was so easy( from my viewpoint) and pain-free. I was well-informed and can say at ease every step of the way. i cannot thank him enough. The added bonus is the staff in this clinic. Every member excels in their field and tasks. It is a fabulous, friendly atmosphere. Whether clerical, domestic, technicians, optometrists etc.they were wonderful and so very competent. Indeed from start to end I could not fault them. Many companies would be delighted to have this quality of staff. Aftercare, I had cause to use this on 2nd day post op. This was due to an unrelated accident I was unfortunate enough to encounter. I phoned for advice and was seen within an hour. I had a thorough check-up, including scans and eye tests with the optometrist. I was relieved that no damage to my eyes had occurred and left with a sense of relief. Wow! What a service. As you may have guessed from my experience, I would not hesitate to recommend this company. Also, Thank you all.”

“Explanation, timeliness and aftercare post procedure excellent. My surgeon, Ms Saidkasimov, is quite incredibly competent with a relaxed can do approach. I couldn’t praise her highly enough; she’s just brilliant and I feel very fortunate to have been under her care.”
