My super car day was not good. Site ran by very young people who let people pay to queue jump, no facilities except a burger van. Site only had 2 Porsches and over 40 people Queuing to ride the Porsche and this was at my allocated booking time so I had to wait almost 2 hours to drive 3 laps along a heavily congested track. The drive back on the M2 and M25 was less congested and faster in my own car, total waste of money and time off work. Never again

Deluxe theatre experience... 2 crappy dry plays available. Swapped it and waited 3 months for my new voucher, spent a FORTUNE, on the telephone, I'll report back on my new experience soon, a 2 night stay in a hotel, watch this space....

DO NOT USE, absolute rip off. No dates available for our voucher before it ran out. They then charged me a fee to "extend the voucher" but still could not guarantee there would be any dates. Now reporting this to trading standards as what they are doing is selling a product that they VERY often cannot provide (and NO refunds - just more money grabbing). JUST BUY the Experience DIRECT and don't throw your money away!!! 82% of reviews 1 star (and can we trust the UNVERIFIED 5 stars?).

My wife booked the three car experience that you will find has a lot of hidden extras and no availability when booking. I had 1 month left when I called to book but was told fully booked. I was informed that I should have booked as soon as I received my voucher(fair play my fault) but pointed out that there wasn't anything on the paperwork advising me to do so. "It's in the T's & C's that the purchaser would have received when purchasing" I was expertly backside covering told. I called Virgin and was told additional £20 to extend voucher but haggled down to £10. I tried to book as soon as my new "9 month extended" voucher arrived to be told that they were fully booked until the end of the year (this was the end of August) and they haven't been issued dates for next year yet (my problem then!). Only by selecting another car to the Porsche was I able to book this year. The booking only covers week days so £20 to upgrade to the weekend then an additional £20 for Dunsfold aerodrome then additional £40 for insurance (all tucked away in the T's & C's at time of purchase no doubt). On arrival (as instructed) 1 hour before my first time slot it was really busy and you then had to stand around with all the other poor victims and wait for your time slot (30 mins between each car )Arrived at 2pm finished at 5:45 pm, 2x laps in each car, distance Unknown 15-20 mins approx total driving. The High speed passenger lap is excellent 150 mph but you are quite restricted when drivng 60-80 mph (it was raining) but I felt a bit let down by the experience. All staff/instructors onsite really nice and helpful but you get the impression that higher management are more interested in making money by selling you addons/upgrades than you having a good time. Would I do it again ? No

Experience not as expected in the detailed information as given by Virgin Experience. I opted for an extended flying lesson. It stated that you would get at least 40mins in the air. We arrived at the venue for the allotted time. My son and I then had to wait for at least 30 minutes whilst the instructor ate their lunch in front of us! We got told they were checking over the plane. There was no information given for the extended flying lesson. Not only that I had to pay extra and then the actual flying time was certainly no longer than 25mins. All in all very diss appointed. This was ment to be a special treat which left me totally dissatisfied. I would not recommend virgin experience vouchers as feel very over priced for the service that we received.

Been on the Lamborghini gellardo experience day at York today. Paid over £120 for this present. In the description it states how fast the car goes however the car was slow..my SKODA fabia VRS goes faster !! Also paid £25 waiver insurance on top on day as they scare you about the possibility of having an accident and excess is £5k should someone crash into you !! In description it says allow 2 hours...it was over with in 10 mins !! Also told 3-6 laps...I had 3 !! Not worth the money at all !!! Felt like it was a money making exercise. No option to spend time with car and family to take pics, you're in and out !! Would not recommend.

had a virgin experience 2 day break with breakfast. Booked in to the Hallmark West Cliff hotel in Bournemouth on 31st July, as an Anivesary treat. the hotel was filthy, although the staff were friendly. Hotel was not hoovered from the time we arrived to the time we left. We were given a room where the valance was stained there was drink spillage marks down the wall and the room had not be dusted for ages you could wipe the dust off with your finger. We were quickly changed to another room. The spa treatment room was just a bedroom withthte bed taken out to make it into a make shift treatment room. A spillage on the stairs down to the spa had been reported but nothing had been done about it. The hot water had to be run for 20mins to get the hot water to come through. 3 other people complained whilst we were there, one for no tbeing able to check in on time, cracked tiles on the bathroom floor and the lack of hot water. This was really not the virging experieince I had expected. I have been on other virgin experience packages but this was awful and totally ruined what should have been a lovel anniversary weekend away.

Cant get the spa experience booked for my wife , apparently the one night stay requires booking two nights at weekends, more expense, little options on locations and it runs out too early , NEVER NEVER BUY AGAIN !!!

Bought a pamper day as a present for my wife who wanted me to go with her...tried to arrange the visit but was told I needed to get a doctors certificate because I take medication to control high blood pressure. Please note I do not have high blood pressure as the medication controls this. I advised that I wasn't happy to get a doctors certificate as this is a waste of my time, would cost me money to get a certificate and more importantly it is an absolute waste of NHS resources. Cut to the chase, there is nothing else I could do other than get a different virgin experience....given the bad experience I had I was not likely to want anything to do with Virgin so why would you want to take another experience. After several discussions I asked to be put through to a Virgin representative rather than the representative from Acorne. This was refused initially then I was advised that Acorne own the rights to use the VIrgin brand for experience days. So, you may think you are buying a Virgin experience but you are not; you aer buying an Acorne product branded as Virgin. Had I have known this at the get go I would never have booked the experience in the first place. The health & safety policy is overly cautious and the cancellation policy is overly rigid. The funny thing about this is that I visited a virgin active gym and used exactly the same facilities I would have used on the experience day and I didn't have to complete a questionnaire. This sort of inconsistency annoys the hell out of me. For me Virgin Experience Days are a never to be repeated experience.

Since January, I have been trying to book up a Virgin reviver pamper day at several locations (as there seem to be no spaces available for my preferred everywhere!). This has been stupidly unsuccessful, with some Virgin Active centres saying they will call me back yet never do, others telling me that they are fully booked for two months, and some actually just literally never answering the phones. I must point out that my voucher only has a six month usage date on it which is ridiculous for the price that was paid by my partner (it was a gift). Even worse, when I have tried contacting the Virgin Experience Days customer service, I keep getting told that I am not able to get a refund but can pay £20 to get it extende or £10 to get it exchanged. Frankly, I find it an insult that they are asking for yet MORE money because their staff have not been able to ever assist me in booking this incredibly pointless voucher. I find this company one of the worst gift experience companies - and I've used many in the past - and would strongly recommend avoiding these overpriced and unhelpful money grabbers. I am now stuck with a Virgin pamper voucher and no time to go because all the local ones are booked for two months.

An awful experience! We attempted to redeem voucher for Virgin Experience Double Superblast car experience - attempted - they give you a phone number (no online booking or email) to call. You only ever get an answer machine. You leave a message and they call you back once - if you miss the call they do not call again. We called 10 times - they did not call back. After complaining they called and offered two impossible dates - with a take it or leave it attitude. We transferred vouchers to another experience.

I was given two Virgin Experience Days as presents and it has been a nightmare to book! I have managed to book the Thames River Cruise but the horse racing is proving impossible! There are very limited dates - as I can't get the time off work, I won't be able to go! My husband and a friend will try to use them if we can ever get it booked! You have to activate the voucher, then contact the race course and they will send a form to send back with your voucher! Ridiculous! If we wanted to exchange the vouchers for another, we would have had the same nonsense with forms etc AND we would have been charged £20! Avoid!!!!!!!!

Awful experience and that's just trying to book! Impossible to find a hotel which suits our availability within the strangely limited time limit of our voucher (9 months?) and in a desirable hotel. It seems as though Virgin know that British people are too polite to warn friends and family, who buy these vouchers in good faith as presents, not to bother in future as they are almost un-useable.

BEWARE - Got this as a present from my gf and what it doesn't make clear are the extras that you probably want to have, such as insurance to cover the £5,000 excess on the supercars, the track I wanted to use extra £20 and £10 for a demo lap so you can get the most from the cars you drive. In the end cost an additional £65. Not gone on it yet but we feel disappointed that these items are not highlighted at point of purchase.

Still waiting since Monday to book a date to use our virgin experience voucher. It is now Friday, and we still haven't been able to book, Just waited on the phone for 30 minutes, listening to a recorded message telling us that they were extremely busy. Then we were cut off with a message saying this number is temporarily unavailable. At this rate our voucher will be out of date and our phone bill will be expensive. Come on Virgin, we expect better than this.

Tried to book an experience but could only book 2 days after the experience expired. Been in touch with them and was basically told that when I bought the experience it was half price, to boos that experience now I have to pay full price. It is not my fault that the experience is fully booked. What a terrible service and I will never be using virgin experience again.

BEWARE: Complete waste of money. Received the voucher for my 50th birthday on 21 December. Voucher says that you should allow at least 8 weeks in advance, so I duly tried to book 10 weeks in advance before the expiry date of 14 June. However, everything is fully booked, no availability until dates after the expiry date. Voucher cannot be extended. So that's it, what a waste of money and how disappointing, especially for the person who bought this as a present for me.
