“Very bad service I seen the advertisment for FREE APRAISEL, payment same day and within 48 hour get an offer. After a week of waiting i receive no call day 9 i get a call - i sent in 1908 coin one being worth £290 via the worse valuer in the country "an auction house" - i got 9 indivial seperate indival valuations.from various experts. I had 11 1908 coins, a large joblot of array (mixed vintage early 19th century items and a lot of silver items)... as well as other items. Valued at just under £4,300 by 9 indepant valuations who are ALL highly experienced dealers/traders/experts who deal with these goods every single day and over 1000 years combined valuation expertise between them. On this day on the 9th day - the valuation for my £4,300 worth of items which 2 large 150cm long by 80cm wide boxes crammed full of goods - they REFUSED the service... i said well what would you of offered they turned around and said £45.00 i said for each or everything they said everything. - i said no thank you, you have refused service and breached the actual contract. The man was EXTREMELY rude and abusive towards me i recorded the call and told the man i was recording the call. I receive some 17 (17) telephone calls i can back up after the fact they provided a tracking number to return my 2 large boxes of items that i sent in perfect condition with protection covering on - including all the gold, silver (confirmed silver) they tried to tell me it was plate - the gold was not gold but plate - I sent them 9 valuations from TRUE experts who have been all over the world on tv and everywhere - and have a 1000 year plus combined experience between them. They vintage cash cow has HARRASSED me under the harrasment act that as stated i can back up. contacted me 17 times. told me my items are modern - which means ANYONE can buy today which they certainly can not - especially with me sending in a one penny black with certificate of authenticity - and only 5 available in the world i wont discuss the entire of all items sent - but still they told me take my junk to a carboot when i get it back and sell it their you will get £30- £40 for it on there and were offering the best offer for your items. NONSENSE - Vintage cash cow not only false advertisers and rips people off - it also uses very agressive tactics trying to FORCE AND SCARE people into selling their items to them. And then mis-discribes the items so that the consumer you and i - are then lied to and led to beleive items are little to no value so that they can get the items from you. I certainly will not be bullied, harrassed and lied to, and i will do everything in my ability to ensure that this scam does not continue. It has a lot of false reviews about the company as well made up from people within the company and friends of the compnay not actual genuine people. I can back it up i can prove it - this is a genuine review. Anybody wishing to take their chances ensure you read their terms and conditions and ensure you take photographs of your original items like i did and have all my items packaged and recorded on cctv. - so they can not say was not in the box for example when cctv clearly shows is. I would highly recomend you sell your goods private and dont be HARRASSED suffer ABUSE and be LIED to by this company vintage cash cow which is based in Leeds and discriminates people very very badly. 17 calls of harrasment and unwanted calls AFTER i was told they are refusing to make me an offer then stating they would of offered £45 and 17 calls AFTER they sent me a text stating return of parcel tracking number which should be two return labels, i explained to them i will check every item, to which the man was extremely rude and told me its a load of rubbish items and many of the items will just go in the binor given away, very poor service - my true review AVOID at all costs and sell private. I can back everything up said here today!”

“Well where I do I begin couldn’t give me a valuation on my very precious Items ..sent numerous emails for there return chasing them and informing me wasn’t in no notice!.?when try to deliver went back to post office time and time again gave me wrong date for re delivery. And guess what no!! return supposed to leave with neighbour really nothing!.? Well they haven’t so my items I don’t know where anymore couldn’t even offer to send to my Work address. So basically I have never got them back!.? Sick! Of emailing them all dates and excuses So I will never see these precious memories items again . Am looking into taking this further.. They have Put me through stress!, loss and more”

“Insulting offer, the courier would cost more to send back. I think they only want gold and silver and nothing else. I did send a mix of things including a gold necklace and Rotary watch, the offer was £10 for everything. I would have got more if I set up a stall at the end of my street!”

“I am extremely disappointed having received the pack & packaging up my late father in laws cameras & lenses. The package is supposedly lost although the tracker shows it was received the following day. Have been sent numerous texts informing me the labels will expire although messaged to say parcel already sent. I even received a phone call to ask me about sending my parcel who I informed they have supposedly received & lost. Still awaiting contact as to what happens next.”

“Vintage Cash cow was recommended to me by a friend but I have to say wish I hadn’t bothered to go to the trouble of packing everything up and going to the Post office There were several valuable items in my box - a gold cygnet ring a Rado watch a Longenes watch an aquamarine and diamond ring several Parker pens Montblanc pens silver mugs silver knives and forks a camera and costume jewellery The offer I received was a joke ! Just over £100.00 for the lot !! I would rather give the items to charity than accept such an insulting offer !”

“The first time I used VCC I had an decent offer just over £70 for what I thought wasn't old junk. Cameras etc. and the staff has always been very helpful. Since then I've sent another 3 maybe 4 boxes with a lot more vintage items weighing 20kg plus including Jewelry, old coins, a few small silver hallmark items, cameras etc and it's the same offer every time, £20. Disappointed to be honest but I needed to declutter so I didn't take it back and nothing was sentimental. I understand it's a business, employees, overheads have to be paid and item prices change regularly, and let's be honest, postage isn't free we still pay for it in the end. Maybe its part of the offer process i don't know. I see alot of people here aren't happy and opting for their items back so who pays for that postage? If you want more for your items then use other means because this company won't give a fair price all the time simply because they can't. I doubt I'll use them again unfortunately.”

Unfortunately, we didn’t receive any items that had a rarity or collectibility factor which does limit how much they can generate on the second-hand market. For any offers that aren't accepted, we do offer a free returns service of your parcel, So we would cover the cost of that. “DON'T BELIEVE THE SLICK ADVERTISING HYPE - STEER CLEAR OF VINTAGE CASH COW I sent them a large variety of vintage items in good condition. My husband estimated an offer of around £200 - I was expecting about £400. When I was offered £20 I thought I'd misheard!!! Then they repeated the miserly amount and I realised what an absolute con this company are. The truth is, hundreds of hopeful, trusting individuals (willing to part with their belongings to make some money in these hard times) are being disgustingly ripped-off by this swindling organisation. The only 'good' reviews on here are probably made-up! Only sell your valuables to VCC if you are prepared to be paid an insulting pittance. I would love to be a fly on their warehouse wall as all the good stuff comes pouring in and they rub their hands with glee, knowing they'll make a huge profit for a tiny payout. Of course their customer service rep will now leave a message underneath my review: 'Dear Susan, sorry to hear you were unhappy with your offer - blah blah blah - but what you were offered was because your items are difficult to resell - blah blah blah.' Don't waste your time and your valuables with VCC”

“Do not trust them. I sent one assorted box and received what I thought was a reasonable offer, but that proved to be the bait. I then sent a second box of silver items (which had been checked and insured by a leading jeweller). I was offered £27.50 and informed they were plate, not silver. When I mentioned they were hallmarked I was told that hallmarks weren't a guarantee and they had checked the silver content and it was only 2%. I asked for the items to be returned. They were, badly packed and damaged. About two weeks late I took the same 4 items to a visiting buyer in the village hall and was instantly given £450.”

Silver plated items may also have hallmarks on them, to show the maker's mark, the location of plating, and sometimes trade mark symbol. Our appraisers use X-ray fluorescence guns to determine the composition of metals. For a service like ours, we do have to have a reputable way of ensuring that we can give accurate offers for items we receive and this is why we invest in equipment like the XRF gun. “If I could I would leave zero stars. After a chat with them and being told that what I have is exactly what they are looking for, all vintage & antique brass, silver, objets d'art etc I sent two 25 kilo boxes, every item carefully bubble wrapped. They offered £20 for the lot! I've been offered that for one item elsewhere, let alone 50. I declined & they said they'd send it back. It arrived all jumbled, unwrapped in the boxes. Around a third of the items are now so damaged they are totally worthless. 100 year old lacquer box, carefully looked after, now so scratched & broken it's had to be binned. I would 1000% NOT recommend this company to anyone. It's a very classic bait & switch scam.”

“Absolute con. Which is hardly surprising. If they weren’t ripping people off they wouldn’t be able to afford free two way postage or give £20 for every referral. And advertising on ITV (Megabucks). Don’t do it! Sell elsewhere or give to charity. I wasn’t happy with my offer £27 for large box containing solid silver cutlery, candlesticks, costume jewellery and many other items. I would have requested a return but from reviews saw that items often went missing or were damaged. Never again. Wouldn’t recommend”

“DO NOT USE CASH COW The initial offer on the first package was reasonable, the next box I sent, I was only offered a derisory amount. I was told my pearls were of little value as they are cultured. The majority of pearls are cultured and I do know the value of them. A friend sent a jade bracelet and was told that jade is not a gemstone and is only costume jewelry and not of any value. The current market value of jade is sky high! The boxes of pearls and chains and other necklaces were dumped together in bags so they were very tangled when unwrapped. The pearls were not put back in the pouches and fitted box that I sent them in. So much for the leaflet that was in the return package saying "We've carefully repackaged your items for a safe journey". That is a complete and utter joke! I know that the scrap value of the gold and silver I sent is far more than the pathetic amount that I was offered. Vintage cash cow is a con, do not be fooled by the TV advert!”
