I got ripped off by a greedy vet charging 346.25 pounds for giving a chicken a couple of stitches.

Simple really, I am new to breeding French bull dogs, but my sponsor is not. Your vet not only carried out procedures that were totally unnecessary as I understand panting and discomfort are normal for a French bull dog after pregnancy. You charged me three hundred pounds. What a desgrace.

truly awful took full advantage of my desperation charged me £193 to see 2 tiny puppies weighing less than 100g grams each classing them as 2 pets disgusting then charged me for a FULL bottle of 50ml glucose only 2 mls was used for a full 500ml bag of water about 4 mls each was used and 2 40ml antibiotics when only 0.10 each was used on then the bill was £300 truly awful totally ripped me off

Honestly the worst vets I have ever seen in 20 years as a pet owner ! Really felt like they are just after the over inflated fees and when I raised my issues a long process resulted in vets now offering part refund providing I did not disclose any of my experience to anyone else . I spent longer at the cash point than with the vet , who said nothing was wrong although 8 hrs later at my own vet multi problems found ! I would strongly avoid !

Took Bella for check up at own vets as advised following surgery by @vetsnow Friday. My own vet wants to open her up and re-stitch her as says it hasn't been done correctly at a whopping cost of £700 when we have already paid @vetsnow £1700 - took her back @vetsnow for their opinion and @vetsnow vet admitted that it has not been stitched correctly - tried to charge me for telling me so and said I will also have to pay for it to be fixed!!! No compassion, no common sense only interested in money. You have my complaint!

We had a sad experience at vetsnow with our dog she was 11 years old. We took her to vetsnow (emergency vet) because her breathing was terrible, she had vomited and lethargic. They decided to do epoc bloods. Explained kidneys were not great or lactate. Explained her HR was high. Advised keep her in the hosp over night. Later day after, Sunday they rang my nana, explained she needed a Hysterectomy (11ye old dog) on Iv abx also no full biochem bloods done prior to putting her through Op. My nana agreed without family knowing really why this was needed and if this would keep her alive. Picked dog up Monday early phone call 7am to my nana to pick her up within the hour, dog lethargic and not eating and drinking. Vet standing holding dog without her comfort blanket, her eyes had not been cleaned as she has poorly eyes, she just looked worse than when we took her in. Very sad about the experience we had. My nana spent thousands of pounds trying to get dog well. Felt Op unnecessary (hysterectomy) and her high heart rate was not fixed when we took her to own Vets / breathing still bad. Sadly, she later died Monday we felt it was unfair to keep her alive, she had pain which was not even well controlled with meth. Vet at another hosp did Full bloods which only took 30 Min for result she had several problems- she was diagnosed with KD stage 3 & severe hyperkalemia alongside an Infection, pain & respiratory failing. We just feel full bloods should have be done initially considering how unwell she was we knew something was really wrong. As a family we are saddened by the experience and care at vetsnow. The thousand pound cost for the Op at vetsnow could have been used to do Full blood on our dog to rule out further problems before putting her through surgery. It was explained Monday when we picked up our Dog, Vetsnow were quite confused as to what was actually wrong with her. I asked kindly if they would handover verbally to dogs own vet on the Monday however this did not happen, and thought this would happen anyway. We just wish we had time to spend with her in her last few days rather than having operations which evidently did not make any different at the end. We feel decisions could have been made more empathethically on our dogs behalf and blood investigatioms could have be carried out before operating. Surely this would be the case in a human. Our dog was evidently very sick

Hi Mr Ripley, thanks for taking the time to leave us a review, I'm sorry you've been left with a negative impression of us. It's true that out of hours emergency and critical care for pets is expensive, just as it would be privately for human patients, and our clinical teams are on hand throughout the night and at weekends, whether we treat one pet or several. We have a handy article which gives a bit more clarity and context to our prices here: https://www.vets-now.com/2018/01/emergency-vet-costs-prices-fees/ Please do get in touch with client care on clientcare@vets-now.com to chat to us to discuss your case in more detail. Kind regards, Kirsty

The vet was more interested in getting another £500 fee to sedate my cat and look at her throat rather than actually explaining the issue. After a second opinion I was told it was a throat infection and it cost me £7.89 for 2 antibiotic injections, in comparison to £186 for 1 injection and 2 tablets with little information. Even for out of hours the prices are extreme.

I would rate you as nothing. You are the most disgusting vet I have spoken to, my dog, correction my babes, takes epilepsy and for the second time in a few months have refused to give us advice over the 'phone insisted we take Heidi down whilst having a fit. Three Sundays ago we took our Heidi down and to meet the most obnoxious vet, if you could call her that First words were "We cant unfry a fried egg" Which absolutely broke my heart, and to me would mean, there was not a lot of hope, but then assured us she could help, took a £1000 deposit and couldnt save my babes. I am devastated and will make sure this will be well publised. Dont know your name but your should be struck off. If you dont care for animals you are in the wrong job.

Hi Ms Petrie, I'm so sorry you feel this way and so very sorry for your loss. In most emergency cases the best course of action is to come to the clinic with your pet as soon as possible as we cannot provide accurate advice or diagnoses from our contact centre. I'm sorry you didn't find us to be compassionate in person, it's one of our core company values. Please do get in touch with clientcare@vets-now.com so we can look into your case and discuss this further with you. Kind regards and sincere condolences, Kirsty

I came in with my dog max at 1.15am as he had developed a cough and was having trouble breathing the vet looked at him and said that he had a sore throat and that there was no crackle in chest they then said that he would need antibiotics I paid for the service which cost £230 we left there at 3am I was not happy with what the vet had said it was as I was very concerned with his breathing but she insisted that he was fine he then suffocated with all the fluid on his lungs as sadly passed away in my arms at 10am that morning they was more concerned with taking my money than listening to what I had to say

I received this today . Following your pets care at Vets Now, we want to offer our sincere condolences for your loss. If you felt ready we would welcome your thoughts on the service you received on your visit. You can rate this and leave a brief comment. Well here is my comment, How dare you cause me more upset my lovely dog is STILL alive and receiving palliative care from her own great vets. She has been attending the Super Vets also in Guildford due to her aggressive form of Leukaemia. She is only 3 years old, WHERE DO YOU GET YOUR FACTS FROM?? Why cause an owner more heartache, I know what the outcome will be but NOT YET!!!!! You have no compassion

Hi Mrs Hollins, I'm so sorry to hear this. Our review request messages are sent out automatically and the copy is based on how the case is discharged, but in this case it's clear there has been an error with the notes on the case, or else it has been closed incorrectly with the wrong discharge outcome. I'm so sorry for this, and I can't understand how this has happened without looking into what went wrong here. We'd be happy to do this for you, please just email clientcare@vets-now.com and we can investiagte how this error occurred. Please be assured, we meant no offence and can only apologise. Kindest regards, Kirsty
