“After using NT for many years I was very disappointed this time, previously very happy. After having a mot full service and new tyres fitted, I found that there was no visual on my radio, I took it back and all they could say was they didn’t touch the radio. So I left unsatisfied. I then emailed them telling them of my dissatisfaction of their unwillingness to solve the situation and had no reply. I rang to ask if they replied to emails and he asked who I was and said they already addressed my query at the time and I didn’t ask for a reply. They used to be very helpful now it seems they don’t care about their customers. It was a simple problem of a loose wire but they weren’t willing to help after I had just spent over £400 pounds with them. They don’t have a complaints procedure or any information on who is in charge. I’m very disappointed after being a loyal customer for many years…”

“My son felt harassed after visiting one of the stores to get two tyres. He was told his brakes were ‘dangerous’ and when he said he would get them looked at ASAP he was continually hounded to get them done by the store. He did not have the money on him to have this done and felt very pressured so we won’t be returning or recommending”

“Visited on 16/11/16 and left my wheel and tyre for them to diagnose a slow puncture. Was called and left a message to say it was sorted. Arrived to be told the cost was £19.99. When I asked what they had done, they replied removed tyre & cleaned wheel, refiited tyre with a new valve and balanced. I was unhappy with the assumption that the repair was carried out without my consent & the cost. I didn't check at the time but when I got home I checked to find the valve had not been replaced. I will not be using again.”

“Had a new tyre fitted today at a cost of £125 and was advised I needed another new (identical) tyre - total cost would be £375. When I queried the additional £125 (2 tyres at £125 each = £250) I was told the balance was for tracking. I challenged the quote of £125 for tracking and was told I just didn't understand what was involved in tracking. I declined to have the second tyre fitted. I've made arrangements to have the second tyre supplied and fitted plus the tracking corrected by another supplier for £140 (I've used the supplier before and know I can trust them). I will neither be returning to Tyres Northampton nor recommending them to anyone.”

I am sorry to hear about your recent visit to Tyres Northampton and I can only apologise if you feel that we did not explain thoroughly On the advice we were trying to give. On arrival we complete a job sheet for every vehicle which lists what the customer requires and any notes Detailing extra work that we have advised back to the customer. On reviewing your vehicle notes we have listed that a further tyre was required at £125, we have advised that we could re-balance the other 2 tyres at £12 each and then we could check the Geometry which we do not charge for but if any adjustments were required this would cost £50.99. If all the work would have been required this would have come to £324.99. We can only advise a price on the Geometry because until this has been checked we are unable to assess what is required. I apologise again if you feel that this was not explained correctly at the time and hope that you would reconsider using our company again when you next require any tyres.
