When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“This is honestly the easiest insurance site I've ever used. Clear instructions and layout which guide you through the process. They cover anything from active holidays to extreme sports and are also really useful if you have a health condition that needs covering. I've used them countless times over the past few years for backpacking and rock climbing trips.”

“I like True Traveller for the following reasons: 1. I had insurance with another company but its policy was up to 42 days and I was needing longer insurance coverage for my long stay in the U.S (like 5 months long). In other words, I love how True Traveller (TT) allows you to buy its insurance after your trip started! 2. I'm an US citizen resident in one of the countries of EEA so that helps a lot when you don't need to get one of the crappy American travel/health insurance with lousy deductibles, coverage, etc when you can get TT insurance! 3. They cover activities like scuba diving, piloting a private aircraft, trekking, and tons of other sports that many insurance companies won't cover!! This is a major plus for anyone who leads an active lifestyle! 4. Their customer service is great...they were always quick to respond to my email inquires. And it's nice to communicate in English since it's a British company so if you're one of the EEA residents in a country where English isn't used, use True Traveller so you don't have to worry about language barriers while traveling abroad! 5. The website is quick, easy, and user-friendly. It was a breeze to select the options and buy a policy. To sum it up, I highly recommend True Traveller for your travel/medical insurance needs!”

“I have used True Traveller for three separate trips across the world. What I love most about this company is how easy the website is to use. Never mind that they offer you coverage for basically every single activity on earth or the fact that even the standard insurance package will insure that you are safe in the case you need help. I will continue to use True Traveller for my travels as I truly believe they have the customers well being at heart.”

“My experience with true traveller has been nothing but exceptional this far, they're plans are not too pricey, have great coverage and are the perfect thing for an individual travelling across the globe. I had to make a claim in late 2018 for an injury which required me to go to hospital and undergo several scans which resulted in a sizeable hospital bill. This was the first time I've ever had to make a claim so I rang TrueTraveller to understand the process that I had to go through. The agent on the other end of the phone was calm and professional and was able to give me the information I needed to begin the claim. Once all the documents were sent I got responses from truetraveller telling me they had been received and the payment came back to me in a number of weeks. I would reccomend them to anyone wanting to travel safley without breaking the bank!”

“As an Italian who is always backpacking for many months, this seems the ideal choice for the flexibility to renew it everywhere and for the cheapest price I've found. I love how easy and well done is the website as well. After just few hours I have received an answer to my email, so in general I have to say it's the best insurence, but I haven't done any claim. “I hadn’t intended to phone through to True Traveller, however I experienced a laptop glitch when I was online, so was forced to do do. I’m so pleased about that glitch! I was booking a policy for a 26 trip to Nepal, which will include some high altitude trekking. There’s some technical need to know stuff about policies for such trips. The True Traveller agent was superb. Clearly very knowledge, also very patient and professional. At the end of the call, having purchased the policy I was left feeling I’d had the very best service.”

“A great travel insurance company. I have been using them for several years for all my trips. I have had to submit a few minor medical claims and they always covered all of them within a few days. “After a lot of research, me and my partner decided that True Traveler have most value-oriented insurance for travelers. Insurance is bought a lot before departure so i currently don't know how it is about claims but reviews show that i don't need to worry about that if anything happens during our trip”
