When travelling overseas, the one thing you should never skimp on is your travel insurance cover, as should things go wrong you want the very best cover for you and your possessions.

At The True Traveller, we’re used to advising people on travelling all around the world, and due to feedback from our customers we’ve changed our insurance website, made it even better value and extended the range of products.

On Single Trips, we offer three Policies called True Value, Traveller and Traveller Plus. True Value is designed for travellers under 40 years of age, and is designed for last minute travellers and backpackers. The Traveller policy, our most popular, is designed for holiday makers and adventurous travellers alike, and Traveller Plus gives enhanced medical and cancellation cover.

On our Multi Trip Policies, again we offer the Traveller policy valid for unlimited trips throughout the year for durations up to 30 days, and the Traveller Plus policy which offers enhanced cover for unlimited trips lasting up to 70 days. We also have a budget True Value Policy for travellers under 40 years of age.

We’ve tried to get the prices as keen as possible on all our insurances. This means on the Single Trip and Multi-Trip you have the option to exclude Baggage Cover as this may well be covered in your Home Contents insurance; you also have the option to add-in different activity packs. The Traveller Pack covers 92 of the regular holiday activities which you will get involved in, and covers clerical/non-manual work as standard. The Adventure Pack covers a further 41 activities and is designed for the more adventurous traveller and backpacker, covering trekking to 4,600m, as well as volunteer work and manual work. The Extreme and Ultimate Packs covers all the more extreme and ultimate adventures. The Extreme covers trekking over 4,600m to any altitude, as well as Scuba Diving to 50M. The Ultimate covers Hang Gliding, Mountaineering and Polo to name just three of the Ultimate adventures!

“I am really pleased with the True Traveller insurance! I have been using it for over a year bow for all my long- term travels and anytime i had to go to hospital, the getting money back was so super easy, quick and convenient. I’d definitely recommend this to all digital nomads, people on their gap tears and long-term travellers.”

“Excellent website, clear and accurate documents that are received by email directly upon purchasing the insurance. In terms of regions, the Europe insurance I frequently purchase has wide coverage and even includes countries outside of continental Europe. I haven’t needed to make a claim thus far but TrueTraveler is my go-to insurance agent for all my travels.”

“I used this insurance for the first time during my IEC in Canada (then extended my travel and used it while in USA and Brazil) and I was really impressed. The costumer service is ready to help and communication via email and chat is always fast and clear. Being able to make a claim online makes it definitely easier. Because of the positive experience now it is my first choice.”

“I've been using True Traveller for a few years now for many reasons. I can start and continue my cover whilst already abroad, their website is by far the easiest in the market to navigate and I've had a great experience with their support team. “My friend and I got cover for our Everest Base Camp trek in Nepal and are so happy we went with True Traveller. They made us feel like we were covered for all eventualities and followed up with super helpful information about altitude sickness symptoms and treatment. “I found the True Traveler website very clear and readable, with important additional disclosures as to the risk I am taking trekking in Nepalese mountains and a description of local rescue practices. It helped make sense of the overall cost. I am part of the rare breed that reads a contract before entering into it ; I found the extensive TT contract very clear and the summary provided accurate. The insurers backing the TT offer are Allianz, a robust and reputable firm, so I trust that they will perform their duty should a need arise.”

“I have just renewed my policy with true traveller because I’ve found their service to be excellent. Their cover is exactly what I need and they are always quick to respond if I have a query. “I am a ski instructor working around the world, as most insurance companies don’t really give me what I wanted (being covered for skiing which is an extreme sport, being covered during travelling, covered for my belongings, a long period of time etc etc) when I found True Traveller, they really excelled above the rest. I have made a claim in the past from getting a concussion and being driven to hospital in Japan in an ambulance, and the claims team were really prompt and helpful, and didn’t try to use any loopholes to get out of reimbursing me. So I’m really thankful for that, as I haven’t the money to afford high medical bills whilst I’m working, playing and skiing! Thank you True Traveller! That’s why ill go back to you every year!”

“I was looking for my policy for a WHV in Australia and having used True Traveller before for my policy for a WHV in Canada I headed straight back to their site. Easy to use, self explanatory and made the whole process so simple. Also know that claiming is hassle free due to friends’ previous experiences! Definitely would recommend!”
