“Really good value, easy delivery and installation. Looks great on the wall. The only downside was it was left in the room to acclimatise following instruction and it left a yellow stain on the floor that I can’t get out so be mindful of where you put it.”

Hello, thank you for your feedback. We are happy to hear you find our items good value and you found our instalaltion instructions easy to follow. Sorry to hear a stain was left on your floor, the back side of the beam is left unstained so it would have been best to leave the beam to rest on this side or stand it on top of something off the floor.

“Excellent sturdy heavy wooden shelves. We had an issue with one of the shelves but thus company arranged for a replacement shelf to be sent immediately with no quibble. I would buy from them again the next time I need good shelves. If your shelves don’t stay on your wall it’s your problem not theirs.”

“Nice looking shelves and delivery/communication was good but in order for the shelves to go on the wall, we have to improvise a little. The holes drilled into the shelves were too big for the silver bracket so we had to wrap cello tape around them so they would insert better otherwise they would have moved around. After the shelf was up, within 1 day of having items on the shelf, it started to tilt forward. When checking, the silver fixing had become loose yet the screws were still at its tightest. We had to find the thinnest of materials to wedge in between the fixing and the wall which helped bring the shelf back straight but we’re going to need to use a different fixing because it is starting to lean again and if this doesn’t work, I’ll need to purchase a bracket which defeats the object of a floating shelf. Disappointing.”

Hello, thank you for your review. Sorry to hear you were not happy with the workmanship and felt the metal inserts did not fit properly. We do drill the holes with a 13mm drill bit and the fixings are 12mm. We make the holes slightly bigger because if we made them the same size as the fixings it would be quite difficult to get the fixings in. We do recommend on the installation instructions to use some silicone or grab adhesive, in addition to this air dried oak does tend to shrink and it will shrink around the fixings.

“Great product, great service. Cant really fault Traditional Beams. We went with the 'Rustic Oak Beam *Aged*' (14cm x 14cm x 122cm) in the medium oak finish. The wood is full of character and the colour is as we had hoped. The wall fixings are easy to use and are a nice tight fit on the wood.”
