“The only faintly positive outcome from lock down was finding this hair colour. But had a few traumas beforehand trying to get the desired copper red. The colour worked on stubborn grey and condition of hair has significantly improved since using this product. As you can see from photo its a perfect result using 50/50 6 and 7R. And the customer service is exceptional advice given and product delivered promptly. Thank you! 👌”

“You definitely need to use the hydrating conditioner before using this hair colour. It makes all the difference. Without it, the colour didn't cover my grey hair very well but if you condition your scalp & roots first, the coverage is excellent. Absolutely love this colour. Finally something that is strong enough to cover my resistant grey hair but doesn't damage my fine hair or irritate my sensitive skin. I've even started experimenting by mixing some colours & I always get compliments on how natural the colour its. Keep up the great work Tints of Nature.”

For future reference, please just be aware that we recommend the Hydrate Treatment as opposed to the Hydrate Conditioner for use before colouring - Hydrate Treatment is designed to soften up grey hairs and make them more receptive to colour, whereas Hydrate Conditioner is designed to seal the cuticles of the hair back down which can actually make it more difficult for the colour to penetrate your hair. - Love, the Tints of Nature team

“I was a double processed bleach blonde and tired of using harsh chemicals and watching my hair become dry and damaged. I mixed 6N and 6C and couldn’t be happier with the result. My hair looks and feels so healthy. Thank you!”

“I absolutely LOVE your product. I'm a natural red head. Over time of course I've gone slightly grey! I feel like I'm pouring golden silk on to my hair everytime I use your products. I mix 'red' with 'mahogany red'. THANK YOU. 🙏 I recommend your products to all my red-headed friends. “My hair colour is dark brown. But I want my hair is like light golden brown so can you tell me which colour should I use I tried some different colour but I'm not satisfied Thank you”

Hi there! Thank you for reaching out to Tints of Nature. We have a colour that is Light Golden Brown (5D). Our shades can lift up to 1-2 shades. So if your natural hair is dark brown, which we would class as a base 3, the 5D is a couple of shades lighter so this would be the advised shade to achieve your golden tones. It is important that a skin sensitivity test is carried out before every application, even if you have used our products prior. “The first time I decided to color my hair myself I discovered and purchased Tints of Nature. I was initially a little scared, but I did it, and it worked! I love it! I have sensitive skin and thick dry curly hair. Your product leaves my hair soft, and easy to style and does not hurt my skin. When my hair began turning gray, I didn’t want to pay for expensive salons. With your product I have been able to match my natural hair color and am confident in doing it myself. Aside from the fact that you don’t include enough conditioner, I am truly happy with your product!”

“I love this product! I have used 7N for years which gives a perfect golden brown with natural looking highlights. I have also tried a mix of 8N with 7N to get a blonder shade for the summer. I find the product leaves my hair soft and shiny. Grey coverage is good. Fade occurs gradually and with 7N fades to a more blond highlighted look which I love.”

“I have ordered directly through company, great customer service, happy to talk through the products, i also order through a local shop sometimes. In 30 years of dyeing my roots, this is far and away the BEST, i have pure white VERY resistant roots that salon dyes have struggled to cover.I started to worry about the chemical impact this was having on my body, so switched to more natural dyes. All of the natural ones i tried failed to cover or turned my roots orange. I take Tints of Nature to my hairdressers and she applies, apparently its thinner than salon dyes and a little trickier to mix/ apply, but the hairdressers are AMAZED at how effortlessly it covers. I can honestly say its a game changer for me.”

“I have been coloring my hair for over 18 years at home. I used Hennas most of my life, then went to the Salon around 40 but found the color did not cover grey and was very harsh making my hair fall out. So I switched back to home coloring and found Tints of Nature. I have been using it for over 10 year and it is very flexible with color. I have medium brown hair, and can go really dark or can go ash blonde too. Love it, covers grey and conditions, and is so soft.”

“I thought I would give this product a try mostly due to what seemed like an easier way to apply henna vs. other henna products I have used to successfully cover gray roots in the past. I followed all instructions to the T. The box touts up to 80% gray coverage. I got zero gray coverage, contacted the company with UPC and receipt wondering if the batch might have expired. I got a "canned" email response inviting me to spend more money on more products that MIGHT help to cover the gray. Why would I spend more time and more money on something that MIGHT work this time around. No thanks. I'll save my time and money and stick to products I know will work.”

Hi there! Thank you for reaching out to Tints of Nature. I can confirm that this is a reformulation from our previous Black shade, based on feedback that the previous Henna Cream Black gave more of a Dark Brown result. If you preferred the previous result, I would recommend the new brown boxes of Henna Cream Dark Brown for future use, as these boxes now contain the previous Henna Cream Black formulation, again based on the feedback we received that it yields more of a warm-toned very dark brown result. “I love this hair color. Just used it for the 2nd time. This time I used the hydrating treatment beforehand to cover grays and it worked well! Not 100% of grays covered, but about 95%, which is good enough for me since I don't have that many. Definitely got more gray coverage than the 1st time without the hydrating treatment. My hair is super shiny and soft. Good experience with customer service...never received an invoice or tracking number for my order. I emailed them and got a response within 24 hours with the information I needed. The package arrived exactly when. They said it would.”

“Wow!!!!!! I used black tints of nature semi permanent color. Covered my massive grey's, praise Jesus....have had serious issues with my hair so went several months without coloring it but bam!!!! I followed instructions and greys completely covered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

“A new hairdresser assumed my red hair was natural and I had no greys!!!! A bottle lasts me 3 colouring sessions. I love the product. I am in my 50s and use it everyc10 days. Fantastic product, cruelty free and ethical which is really important me.”

“I've been using this product for years. I buy it at my local Sprouts store. I have dark brown, fine, wavy hair that is shoulder length. I use it for grey coverage. One bottle lasts 2-3 applications for me. I love the ease of use and the way my hair feels and looks after. I use the Dark Brown shade and have tried the Chocolate shade as well. Applications lasts me 3-4 weeks, depending on how often I shampoo, which I'm happy with. I did not want to use conventional coloring on my hair, ever, and this is a great option. Also, thank you for including the trial-sized clarifying shampoo in each box.”

“Not sure why many people are saying that this products doesn't work on hard to cover grey hair. I'm in my 50's and I've been using this product for more than 10 years and have very grey roots. I mix two colours. 8N and 10N and only re do roots every few weeks, which takes about 20 minutes to apply. Leave it on for 40-50mins. The best coverage and best naturalish alternative to harsh dyes. Also astonishes hairdressers when I get my hair cut, because they all say the colour is awesome and very natural as well as keeping the hair in great condition, all things you dont get with harsh hair colours. I'm so pleased with this product I buy 12 at a time and take it overseas with me when I travel etc. Anyway...I can only say great things about this product and would be lost with out it....Thanks, Tints of Nature for keeping on doing your thing!”

“Haven’t been brave enough to dye my hair, last time was 36 years ago age 17 ! My hair although darkish brown was being invaded by grey, not a lot but enough to bring the tone down. After researching ,I chose dark brown semi. What a relief ! Lovely shiny hair a shade richer and the nasty grey cannot be seen !! I could not be happier thank you so much 😊”

“This is the BEST hair color out there and I have tried all of them including the professional ones (my mom is a hairdresser)! To make it work the best definitely get their shampoo, conditioner, and hydrate treatment (and leave in conditioner too)! It makes a BIG difference & your hair will NOT even feel like it was colored! ;O)”
