“Gentle on scalp. I like the colours. Dries my hair though. That is one con. I love that it is cruelty free.”

Hi there! Thank you for your review. As our products are all natural and contain no silicones or plastic this can often reveal the true state of our hair. To help protect you hair from becoming dry we would recommend using our Hydrate Treatment. This will help to restore any lost moisture in the hair. “I had been using the Black/Noir in the red box and color turned out beautifully (if left on my hair for 1+ hours). The True Black new formulation turned my roots GREEN! I've never had that happen. Any ideas? For now, I'll try the Henna Creme dark brown.”

Hello Kay, I am very sorry to hear about your recent experience with the Tints of Nature Henna Cream Black. Based on our customer feedback that the Henna Cream Black gave more of a Dark Brown result we have reformulated our Black to a new shade, if you were happy with the old shade then you can use the Henna Cream Dark Brown as this is now the old Balck shade. “I think the idea of a natural hair dye with grey hair coverage is fab. I bought the golden brown as I have been using the same shade but from a high street brand. I have to say- it’s way darker like wow I’m basically a brunette now :( hopefully it washes out soon … not sure whether I left it on for too long? I really don’t want to go back to parabens etc but can’t go brunette either perhaps mixing it might help or applying a lighter shade?”

Hi there, We are really sorry to hear that your first colour experience with us resulted in a much darker than expected result. We would love to offer some tips on how to make your next colour experience with us a fantastic one. Our colours do tend to be a little darker than other brands so I would suggest going one to two shades lighter for your next colour. We would also recommend doing a strand test before your colour application this will let you see the end result before committing to a full all-over colour. “I would call 4N Natural Medium Brown, Natural Dark Brown. It is not close to the sample on box. There is too much black in it. I will go back to 5R Rich Copper Brown.”

“Tints of nature was recommended to me by a family member who is a hairdresser, after I had a very severe reaction from a well known shop brand. Four years later I am still using this product ,I take the dye to my hairdresser to have my roots done before she does my ombre,my hairdresser tells me she is amazed at this product, it covers my greys beautifully.Thankyou 🥰”

“I just used this product for the first time. I followed the directions, used the Clarifying shampoo in box. Combed out my hair, apply hair color, Mahogany red, and turned out beautiful!”

“I used the henna cream in mahogany. No color showed at all. Only my scalp was red. But it did make my hair really soft and manageable. But no color.”

“It’s better than other natural hair colours. However, I find the colour fades after 4 weeks. I guess that is the price of having something more natural and less chemicals. I have abundant long hair. I dont find the amount of clarifying shampoo and the post colour shampoo and conditioner are sufficient. I have to combine with my own, otherwise my hair is so entangled!”

Dear Claudia. Thank you for placing a review, it would be great to know what permanent colour you used. In terms of colour fade, we would suggest that you check that the shampoo you are using is Colour safe with no colour stripping salts, that way you should get your colour to last longer. “I have black hair but with the age my routes started to be grey. I used Henna Cream in black shade. Very easy to apply, soft cream, no intensive smell however didn't covered the grey hair. The instructions are followed. A little disappointed.”

“First, my experience is that the color I use now (7r) is very good. Many compliments from friends, etc. I tried 4 other colors of yours previously but the final results of each was much darker than I wanted. The product leaves my hair in very nice condition, but the process is difficult. The two bottles of mixture do not blend into one, regardless of how much I shake them. The earliest color which comes from the bottle is a very light gold. Moment by moment, the color gets darker. The middle color is too dark. The end result tends to a bi-color effect. The sections around my face and the top of my head are a luscious copper blond, but the rest of my hair does end up darker. Some people have assumed the result was intentional, as if I were creating highlights just at the top. However, I much prefer a single color all over, which has been impossible so far. Why do the bottles of liquid not fully mix? I would like to continue using Tints of Nature but this issue is problematic. HELP.”

“The product is still acceptable as it does not cause itch without any peroxide & ammonia etc harsh chemicals. However, I am really disappointed that there is a website selling your same semi-permanent colour cheaper (at £7.59) than I could get buying from you directly (at £9.99) which is the only pricing available at your website. Please see www.healthypeach.com which also offer free delivery within UK. In the recent direct order with you, I ended buying a bundle to get better value but basically I don't need the shampoo & conditioner and would prefer just to buy the colour alone. This is the 2nd purchase I have done directly and you should offer some form of loyalty discount for repeat direct purchase least I will move to one of your distributor who is offering the same product for less. Sorry, this doesn't encourage loyalty to buying it directly from you.”

“Faffy to use as you have to wash your hair immediately before using. Product is nice and thick so doesn't drip while on the hair. Takes a lot of washing out and the conditioner didn't feel very 'conditioning' so I did another condition with my usual product. It did give my hair a terrific shine.”

Thank you Pam for your rating and review! We recommend washing your hair before colouring with our Clarify Shampoo as this will fully prepare your hair for colouring whilst removing any previous product build up on your hair. It does add an extra few minutes to the routine, however your hair will thank you for it. Our Conditioner is plastic free, therefore on some hair you may not feel the instant conditioning effects like you may feel with conditioners that have synthetic ingredients to give that instantly soft feel. Sometimes it takes a bit of getting used to, if you are used to another product. We are glad you like the shine! :)

“The product worked really well, and the colour result was just like on the box. It also did no damage to my hair despite me leaving it on for too long (there was no smell or itching so I forgot it was there). The developer was very difficult to get out of the bottle however, and i do not feel that enough is provided considering the price.”

“I have a allergy to ppd , so this colour was perfect, it covered the gray but only for about 3 washes , but on the rest of my hair stays on for ages , wish there was more conditioner”

Hi Kelly, thank you for sharing your experience with us. We are sorry to hear you are not completely satisfied with the results. Our semi-permanent range will cover up to 80% grey hair and sometimes grey hair can be stubborn to cover and keep covered. We recommend to get the very best grey coverage to pre treat your hair with our Hydrate Treatment which helps to prepare the grey hair for colouring by adding back moisture your hair could be lacking and therefore making it easier for the hair to soak up the colour for more coverage and longer results. Our Hydrate Shampoo and Conditioner also has a unique colour lock formula which works with our home hair colours to help lock your colour in for longer. We hope these suggestions help. “The positives were the ease of application (no mixing) and the lack of a chemical, noxious smell. I am not sure if I did not fully rinse my hair properly as when it had dried, my hair had an almost tacky feel to it. I also wasn't too keen on the colour- a dull brownish-copper, rather than a vibrant copper gold; my starting colour was my natural stawberry blonde. So unpleasant was the feel of my hair, I washed it again the next morning. A lot of red dye came out, which is another reason why I suspect I had not fully rinsed it the first time. The colour was better, but still not a copper gold. However, after the second time I washed it, it is now a lovely copper gold shade, with streaks of my natural base colour peeping through. If I knew how to get it this colour every time, I would buy it again. But the initial result does put me off.”

We would love to try and help you achieve the best results possible, therefore we would recommend mixing half of 7GBL & half of 7GCB, this should help in reducing the dark brown colour you experienced. In terms of rinsing your hair we would suggest using the Hydrate Shampoo sachet and massage on to your hair, whilst giving your hair a good scrub and rinse, follow this by shampooing your hair again with another good rinse before applying the Hydrate conditioner sachet.
