“Very much like the product but the result is darker than I would like. To cover all grey I was advised to mix the very light blonde with a darker shade.”

Hello Lisa, 8 weeks is the recommended amount of time that we suggest before you have to touch up the roots however we do have a mixing set available for £4.99 which makes the process slightly easier. Our care range is specially formulated to work in conjunction with our colours to keep your colour gorgeous for longer. Many shampoos and conditioners contain harsh chemicals such as salts which actually strip the hair of colour. This could mean that your colour fades a lot quicker resulting in you having to touch it up more often. Unfortunately the rate at which your hair grows cannot be halted by any product but we do have a 3 colour bundle which means you can stock up on more for less which makes ordering slightly less of a hassle! Hi Claire, we are sorry to hear about your experience and would like to assist you as best as we can. Firstly we need to know whether or not you carried out a skin sensitivity test 48 hours prior to colouring? Do you have any known allergies to any of the ingredients listed in the product? Unfortunately at present it is impossible to have a 100% natural and organic hair colour other than henna however the ingredients in our hair colours are 95% naturally derived and our Permanent and Semi-Permanent hair colour kits contain 60% or more certified organic ingredients. You could have experienced a reaction from any ingredient within the product, whether or not it is wholly natural, just as someone may be allergic to peanuts for example. It is important that we investigate this with you further. “Beautiful, rich, long lasting colour and shine. I only had my hair looking this good when I didn't have to colour it. Using the shampoo in the box to prepare hair prior to coloring does make a difference. I mix a red and a brown shade to get the results I want and my hear looks like 20 years ago. “I like the product very much and I have recommended it to numerous friends and also hairdressers. My own hairdresser lets me bring the colour in each time I need to have a touch up and style. I have heard that others have started to do the same. My only complaint is your sales policy. Considering I have been faithfully buying Tints of Nature for years, made many friends and relatives aware of it, so they have switched over, I have never been offered a special discount or gift from yourselves. Compared to other beauty products online, you don't appear to appreciate your regular faithful customers”

“I have dyed my hair 3 time with tints of Nature permanent colour . The first time was fine, unfortunately after using the product for the for the 3 time,my hair become very dry and dull.”

Dear Luisa. We are very sorry to hear this. Feedback like this makes us sad and is very unusual as our hair colours have been formulated with natural and organic ingredients to be gentle and actually nourish and moisturise the hair during colouring process. There could however be a number of reasons why you have experienced this, such as the condition of the hair prior to colouring each time, using shampoo’s post colouring which contain salts that actually dehydrate and strip hair of colour and even hair straighteners which can also cause colour fade. It is also very important to use the clarifying shampoo contained in the pack before colouring to ensure you remove any product build up. “I am delighted to have found a natural hair tint that is made in the UK. I will definitely be ordering this product again. It was simple to purchase via the very comprehensive website and my order arrived quickly. The product itself was easy to apply, didn't drip or smell horrid! Once rinsed and shampooed, my hair was the colour I had hoped, with no grey either! Having washed it several times since colouring there appears to be no fade. Really very pleased, indeed.”

“Love the permanent hair colour. As I do my roots only, I can get to applications with one box (only mix half). It smells nice, it is kind to my hair and looks good. I could NEVER go back to regular colours: they smell so toxic and feel toxic! I got a kinesiologist to test Tint of Nature and he said it was fine for me. Aware that everything we put on our skin is absorbed into the body. Would totally recommend the company. jacqueline mullally”

“It is the only permanent hair colour I can tolerate without a skin reaction. Love the colours too and does nt dry out my naturally thick wavy hair. Excellent product- just wish it was more easily available!”

It is great to hear that you do not have a reaction too however we still advise that you carry out a skin sensitivity test prior to every application. If you love how nourished your hair feels after our colours, you should try our gorgeous care range to keep your colour beautiful for longer! “Love tints of nature products, have been using for 18mths now & feel the difference. I use permanent hair colour ,shampoos etc. One thing wish they did there own volume mouse etc. Thank you for a great product, quick deliver too.”

“Have found delivery from manufacturers prompt- (not to many outlets up near me in Bromley Kent.) I feel pleased that the product is much gentler on the head than other dyes, I would like instructions just in English of course. I mix 3 colours together 4N 5N 5R This is a bit difficult to gauge each time (a third of each colour- the containers are not transparent so its guess work) so would prefer a wider range of self dyes to choose from. I gather salons can off a bigger choice? Also would like a comb attachment at the end of the nozzle to help part the hair easily to achieve better control over coverage. J Barnett”

Jenny thank you for your review it is excellent to hear that you are happy with our service here at Tints of Nature. We distribute to over 40 countries worldwide and because we are an eco-conscious company, it is better for us to produce one instruction leaflet than printing individual ones per language however we do understand that there are rather a lot on there. With regards to mixing your chosen colours, we do offer a mixing set for £4.99 which makes mixing, measuring and applying simple and easy. Understandably salons using our professional range do have a lot more variety due to the strength of activators etc. that they can use following their professional training. All of our Tints of Nature shades are intermixable and we have had advisors here who are more than happy to assist you in finding a formula to suit you. We will most definitely put your suggestion regarding a comb attachment forward to our Product Innovations Department. Thank you again for your feedback Jenny

“Since trying tints of nature hair dye I am very pleased with the Results I get on my hair from good grey hair coverage which other dyes often left me disappointed and lasts longer hair feels in good condition and is safe on my scalp causing no irritations .”

“Have been using these tints for 18 months. No problems. I go to my local Salon in Beckenham. However, I travel quite a lot so I use the ones from the pharmacy when I travel. My only problem is .... It fades quickly & I end up with my root area lighter than the rest of my hair. I do it every 3 weeks as my hair grows very quickly. I mix 3/4 4N & 1/4 of 4CN I find the 4 N on its own is to dull. I like a warm tone...perhaps I shoul use another shade to mix. Your advice appreciated.”

Evelyn we are sorry to hear that you have been experiencing fading when using Tints of Nature. This is not something that should be happening and we have a couple of solutions that may be the answer. As you have said that the fading is particularly at your root area, we would suggest that you do a treatment prior to colouring your hair to ensure that it is in the best condition possible as healthy hair responds better to colour. We have a couple of treatments available that would be perfect for this pre-treatment, our Hydrate Treatment is the best treatment if you are covering greys too. We always recommend that you use our care range when using our colour as they are specially formulated to work together to ensure that your colour stays gorgeous for longer. Our shampoos and conditioners do not contain any harsh chemicals such as salt, as these harsh chemicals actually strip your hair of colour. Instead our care range contains naturally derived ingredients to leave hair conditioned, healthy with colour locked in for longer. Your formulation should be fine however we usually recommend mixing the N shade and the fashion shade, in your case the 4N and 4CH, in equal quantities but if you are happy with the colour you are achieving then you should continue to mix as you are, this formulation should not affect the rate at which your hair fades, it will be the other factors mentioned previously.
