“I used 4MCB Medium Chestnut Brown Semi-Permanent Hair Colour and the final result was more purplish-red than brown. Is there anything I can do?”

Thank you for bringing your recent experience to our attention, we are very sorry to hear that you have not achieved the desired result when using Tints of Nature. We are dedicated to our customers and consider all customer feedback of utmost importance. Medium Chestnut Brown does have a predominant warm tone so it can create mahogany tones, especially when applied to hair with natural warmth. The beauty of the Semi-Permanent is that they fade out with every wash, they will usually last between 6 and 12 washes. To fade the colour more quickly we would advise the use of our Clarify Shampoo, alternatively you could carry out a saline solution which is a simple yet effective treatment to help fade colour. “I bought semi-permanent colouring plus shampoos and conditioners. Have now used the colour and very happy with result. Colour and condition excellent and no allergic reactions to which I am prone. A bonus was finding the colourant comes with sachets of shampoo and conditioner so I did not have to buy them too. However I look forward to using shampoo and conditioner as my hair feels great! I would have given 5 stars but the delivery was a tad slow and had to be signed for. Otherwise very happy.”

Fabulous review thank you Claire! Our Shampoos and conditioners are definitely recommended when using our Tints of Nature colours as they are formulated to work together. Our care range has no harsh chemicals such as salts which strip the hair of colour, instead they contain certified organic ingredients to leave hair shiny and healthy with gorgeous colour locked in for longer! “Great colour. There are a lot of steps to follow, and lots of rinsing, but it's not difficult or especially time consuming to use. Left my hair floaty and light, with no product reside weighing it down.”

“I suffer terribly with excema on my scalp, and have struggled for years to find a product suitable for my sensitive scalp which didn't affect my hair colour. Since using tints of nature, I will never buy any other product for my hair. My excema has cleared, and my hair has never been in better condition, for both colour and health! 10/10!”

“My first natural hair dye experience, so I didn't really have high expectations regarding grey coverage. To my surprise it really delivered! After a consultation over the phone I ordered 5N and 6C which was to substitute my usual medium cool brown that I previously used . Love the result, my greys are covered with no red or brassy tones and my hair doesn't feel stripped. Since my greys are super resistant, I ordered the hydrate shampoo/conditioner which I used a few times prior to colouring. I am really happy to have found an alternative to chemical dye, no stinging eyes or itchy scalp at all!”

“I have had very good results from Tints Of Nature so far. The postage was quick and the price is reasonable. The products inside the box and instructions are easy to follow, mix and apply and it even smells nice! There is enough product even for long hair and the the coverage is really good. I put a dark blonde over a faded red and it covered most of the colour! And of course it's cruelty free which makes the product even better! Will definitely continue ordering from here.”

“I used 50% of each 7N and 6C. I wanted to achieve a mid to light brown. I had a lot of silver grey especially on the crown of my head and my hair was a mixture of faded dye and re-growth. The end result was very pretty good almost covering the grey completely. I will be using the Sulphate free shampoo to try and keep the colour going as long as possible! I have fairly long hair which is quite thin. 1 half of each colour bottle with 1 gel was more than enough. So I have enough for re-growth when the time comes! First impressions of this product is very good! I think there's an art to achieving 100% grey coverage of which I'm yet to learn (I.e in the hard to reach areas!) In time I think that could get a better result based on my colouring skills!”
