You get what you pay for here... Majority of the "content creators/influencers" on here have fake following numbers and comments or they are in "comment pods" where they all comment on each others posts - you're not getting real engagement from real people. It takes a long time to sift through who's worth working with, and even then we were super disappointed with the crappy content that was created and our guidelines were not followed at all. Also, most of the influencers just want to brag to their communities that they were gifted a product - the whole point is to do a review as if they purchased, but they just blatantly show our written thank you cards and over all it's been a waste of time for us. They're not professionals in this industry and it really shows unfortunately. Will not continue using this platform and invest in a new service to help us find quality content creators...

Hi Samantha, This is Joe from Social Cat; thanks for sharing this; we're sorry about your negative experience, and we understand your point of view. We wanted to let you know that we do have a manual process for approving influencers on our platform, and the requirements to be accepted can be checked below: https://thesocialcat.com/what-are-we-looking-for-when-we-approve-creators One thing we need to do better here is to perform manual checks on active influencers on the platform every month. Unfortunately, we're unaware of what some of them are doing after we accept them on our platform: if they join loops, pods, or any other type of behavior that is not organic. This is where the problem is in this case and where we need to do better. I do also think that this is an isolated case, as we work with hundreds of brands and the vast majority of them had a positive experience. Of course, as a company, we still need to do better and improve our product and experience. On the other hand, I checked our platform and did not see any Reports opened by you for the creators that did not respect the content guidelines. For us to be able to help you with this, you do need to Report the creators. We have a customer success team that deals only with Reports, but if this is not flagged to us, it's impossible to know about it. Unfortunately, even outside Social Cat, influencers sometimes do not deliver what is expected, even with the proper guidance. It is something hard to get on top of, but for this reason, we created the Report Tool, which is monitored by our team. With the Report Tool, you can report influencers for various reasons, including the low quality of the content delivered. Our team will get in touch via email right now to better understand what happened. Thanks again, The Social Cat Team

The influencers provided aren’t great quality it’s difficult to find good ones. Most are using l fake followers and loops and expect to be paid in spite of saying the reviews are not paid. I don’t think influencers are vetted at all by the company so you’re doing a lot of work yourself and paying for it.

Hi Louis, Thanks for sharing this feedback; we're sorry to hear that your experience is not awesome yet. It is not normal for influencers to ask for monetary compensation unless they are working on paid collaborations on Social Cat, which I do not think is the case in this situation. We will reach out to you immediately via email to understand which ones are actually doing this and take measures. This is not normal, and it should be flagged to us. Unfortunately, we clearly state which collaborations are gifted, affiliate, or paid, but I assume some influencers are testing the waters. This thing is very hard to control on our end, but we're looking for ways around it. Regarding the vetting of the influencers, we do have a manual vetting process with two team members doing this. I wonder if this is an isolated case, as this is not the experience other brands share with us via demo calls, reviews, and constant support via email. We will reach out via email to discuss this more and jump on a short call to show you the vetting process we have in place, the Report tool (for situations where influencers ask for money), and other features. Cheers, Joe

Majority of the content creators I sent products too never responded. There is no protection for companies on here.

Hi Michael, Thanks for your feedback; this is highly appreciated, and I would like to address this issue. In terms of protection against these situations, our Report system is doing a great job. You can Report any creator from your account, and our Customer Success team monitors this. When you report an influencer, we block them automatically and receive a notification about the Report. Then, the customer success team gets in touch with you and the creator to solve this issue, and we never unlock accounts until the problem is solved. Of course, we do thousands of collaborations weekly, which is hard to control, and this type of situation appears. That is why we dedicated extra resources to this. I looked over your account and saw you started a free trial with us, but you never continued to be a customer. The free trial is seven days, and I would like to know how many products you sent out so I can help you. Since the trial period is short, I don't think there are many. On top of this, Michael, I do not see any Reports opened by you by now. We cannot control these situations if you do not report them. It seems that you were not fully aware of our tools to tackle these situations. We're looking to help out, so we will get in touch via email. Please reply to this as well, so we can be notified. Cheers, Joe

I haven't found this platform great. Many brands have been poor at communication, or not bothered at all to reply to messages or send items, that were supposed to arrive? For this reason I am not using the platform anymore.

Hey Maryanne! Thanks for this review! While Social Cat focuses mostly on matching brands and influencers, currently, we work to improve what happens after the match as well, which is Engagement. Exactly what you mentioned above. Initially, we started Social Cat to solve a pain we all had: find the right brands and start working with them or find the right influencers for your brand. This is already something we solve and from feedback, we do it well, but we will focus more on Engagement and Product in the following months. Thanks for being with us! Hope we can help more in the future! Joe
