“Lovely concept! Love using the sponges. I did notice after a few weeks they do some up with a smell so best to store them in a sink tidy away from food spills. The gloves werent as sturdy as I like they ripped after 1 use but i like that they are bio-degradable. Love the bin liners i use the small ones for my food caddy and they have been great so far”

Glad you have enjoyed using our products. We are sorry to hear about the gloves. Our gloves are one of the first natural rubber household gloves to market in the UK that have passed biodegradability testing (in accordance with ASTM D5511), and we are super proud of this. As these gloves are designed to completely biodegrade under composting conditions, it is very important to maintain the gloves properly. “The scourer pads are quite good and appear to last a long time. Only used mine for a few weeks but they are much better than the green spongy ones! The pads clean up well too and don't get so dirty.”

“The sponge is very well made and really durable. The scrubbing part is gentle so doesn’t scratch anything and the sponge side is lovely and soft. However, I find that because the scrubber side is fairly stiff, that I can’t shape it easily inside things I am washing up, which makes it difficult to get into edges and sides of cups and dishes etc. It doesn’t bend easily and I find that a little frustrating. If this couple be adapted it would be perfect.”

Hello Sarah, Thank you for trying us. The sponge scourers need to be dried out before they can be packaged and dispatched to customers. Rinse under water and give them a little massage before use to soften up. The sponges will become softer upon continued use with washing-up liquid. They will also soften up with usage, so the longer you use it, the softer and more malleable it gets. You can speed this up by popping it into the washing machine or dishwasher a few times, and this should help :-)

“When I got the email, I had no idea what SEEP was, and had to look it up. OH, its those environmentally friendly cleaning products I bought. I'm using them seemlessly from what I used before. I can't properly review till I see how long they last, but so far they are working ok.”

“Nice sponges for cleaning. They stay fresh and don't get dingy like normal sponges. Also, they are easy to wash/ refresher and last considerably longer than ordinary household sponges. The same is true of the Eco All Purpose Sponge Cloths which are better designed and more effective than ordinary Cloths.”

“Unfortunately my husband wasn't keen on them (he does most of the washing up) he said they were too big. Plus you had to rinse them out well and made sure they dried because if left they do start to smell”

We are delighted that you have tried our sponges. They can take a little time to get used to as they do feel different to plastic sponges that we are used to. They can be easily popped in the washing machine to keep them fresh.

Happy that you are trying us. They can take a little time to get used to, as we have been used to plastic sponges, and normally, they hold the detergent well. But glad you are finding it easy to rinse clean, they also freshen up well if popped in the washing machine.

“Second order with Seep. I've overall happy with the quality, I find the sponges so much better than the traditional ones, and I'm glad not to be using plastic sponges anymore. Not loving the cloths, I bought 2 packs already because of the prints only to realise that 2 out of 4 in each pack did not have a print, so I wouldn't bother again with these.”

“I very reluctantly ordered the Seep washing up sponges. I am very wedded to a particular brand of yellow and green washing up sponge. I use my washing up sponges for a very long time... but I realise that that doesn't really stop microplastics seeping into the environment. The natural sponge and loofah combination of the Seep washing up sponges are much better than I'd envisaged. My one reservation is that they are not as soft and squishy as a plastic sponge - so it's harder to fold them in half around a dirty knife or fork to give it a good, abrasive scrub. I'm hoping that my hands get stronger, or the SEEP sponge gets a bit less resistant the more I use it. However, in the great scheme of things, I'm happy to have ditched the micro-plastic shedding sponges for the very neat SEEP solution.”

“Good quality and a useful sponge for washing up. We used ours to scrub a grill and it looked awful, but a round in the dishwasher made it nearly come back to new. I don’t think it’s going to last a whole month, but I suppose it is still a lot longer than the yellow and green sponges!”
