“As I couldn't manage your on-line ordering system, I gave my order over the telephone to a manager. Unfortunately, there was an error made with the ordering, but the manager assured that he would notify despatch/warehouse and there wouldn't be a problem. He sent me the amended order form by email and this confirmed that his error had been amended. However, when the order arrived it was incorrect and the amendment had not be actioned. This necessitated a few telephone calls and anxious times on my part, but the helpful manager did eventually oversee the correct details and I received the correct order, with a return adhesive postal slip provided I sent back the incorrect order. Ultimately, it was most disappointing that the order was 4 days late for a 60th birthday present. Kind regards, Ian Whittaker”

“I ordered 5 bottles of whiskey from The Drinks Basket. The price was very competitive, the order process really simple and the delivery was very prompt and reliable. All great - My only gripe is the ridiculous amount of packaging that was used. The bottles came in 'inflatable' sleeves, which offer very good protection on their own. These sleeves were then packages into a huge cardboard box with a large quantity of styrofoam chips - too much for the environment and too much for me to dispose of....”

“I purchased the scorpion vodka for my husbands birthday. The vodka was lovely, shipping time was great, the only bad thing is the scorpion's tale was detached, but to be fair this was probably down to royal mail in transit.”

“Well packaged, great range. Will definitely use again. The only reason it's not a 5* review is that the faster delivery service was 1st class rather than a next-day service. My own fault for being last minute, but I probably won't shop here for very last minute orders.”

“Quick delivery, good brandy arrived in tact. The only thing I didn't like was the change in the inner packaging from cardboard to plastic, which I don't think is recyclable.”

“Having recently been to Benidorm for a short break, I discovered a drink (peorto de Indians strawberry gin) wow absolutely delicious. On my return to England I found it difficult to buy in the shop so looked online, thank you for taking me back to very enjoyable holiday every time I enjoy a tall gin and tonic over ice.”

“The dispatch and receipt was well advised and timely. Unfortunately, the wrong vintage was sent without prior notice. When advised, they offered to collect it but I said no need if you can confirm the sent vintage is as good as the other, and same price. Still await reply.”
